Well to be honest in these situations we will often times make very little or nothing. You keep the units moving, cover the customer and work on the next profitable load. If you want to truly succeed, you can not look at a p & l on every load. You have to focus in the big picture and the long tern.

Once a driver is in available status for over 24 hours, they qualify for layover. If you exceed 48 hours a second days layover kicks in. Max 2 days. Not within 200 miles of home domicile. Not if loads are turned down.
