    The madness of Fergerson

I don't know that I'd say the legal system worked in this instance, since it was never given the chance to play out. If anything it was gamed to achieve a desired goal, which was no indictment with the prosecutor off the hook for making the call. There's a reason he refused to allow an...

    The madness of Fergerson

If he wanted an indictment, no. If he didn't want an indictment, yes.

Exactly. Like I said, if the prosecutor wanted an indictment he'd have gotten one, toot sweet.

Violence , gun shots, looting in St Louis avoid the area

I blame the anti-gun panty waist who called 911 in the first place to report a "probably fake" gun.

Correctamundo People don't often get pulled over, searched, arrested and tried for "reasonable doubt." They do for probable cause, tho, which is all grand juries are designed to determine.

Best deal on 2 Sealed batteries agm style 6 volt ?

Any AGM will work great. Something to keep in mind, though. Unless you have an AGM cranking battery, you will be charging two different batteries, which require different charging voltages, off the same alternator. The cranking battery requires, and will get from the alternator, roughly 13.4...

    The madness of Fergerson

The problem with the way the grand jury process was handled in this case is, virtually all, if not all of the evidence was presented, and a lot of it was conflicting evidence. Conflicting evidence IS probable cause. If the evidence isn't conflicting, then it's a slam dunk one way or the other...

    The madness of Fergerson

If the evidence showed not guilty, I think they would. They asked for a special prosecutor and an open trial. Instead, they got the exact opposite.

    The madness of Fergerson

In most cases I agree. But like I said, doing it this way doesn't really engender trust, in a community in desperate need of some.

    The madness of Fergerson

Incorrect. It's obvious you don't know how the grand jury process works, nor how this one differed wildly from the norm. There actually is enough evidence for probable cause, including medical examiner testimony. There is also conflicting evidence, in favor of the defense. But conflicting...

Violence , gun shots, looting in St Louis avoid the area

You left off the question mark in your quote. It was a question, not a statement.

    The madness of Fergerson

It's limited to a trial. Double jeopardy is about being found not guilty at a trial, and then being tried again for the same crime. A grand jury is simply about whether or not to file charges in the first place, guilt or innocence is not determined.

    The madness of Fergerson

To get a grand jury indictment all you need is run'o-the-mill probable cause. The prosecutor already has a history of not prosecuting cops, and he didn't want to be seen as doing it again, and rather than risk a probable cause indictment, he gave the grand jury a virtual trial, complete with...

    The madness of Fergerson

I can't believe they're announcing this at 8PM. It's like they carefully planned this for the best riot conditions. If it weren't real it would be a scene from a comedy movie. It's like train wreck - I can't not look.

Espar D2 Heater $895 shipped out of Ohio !

Yes. You connect the battery isolator to the alternator, and the aux battery to the isolator. When the engine is running the alternator charges both the cranking and aux battery. When the key is off, the two batteries are disconnected from each other (isolated). That way whatever you're running...

Espar D2 Heater $895 shipped out of Ohio !

You're just looking for a marine deep cycle or a truck battery. Something in the $100 range, +/- $20. 100 amp hours. Under the hood, probably not. Under the seat is better for AGM or at least maintenance free. Otherwise you can mount it behind the seat, near the Espar heater. You'll want it...

Don't let them wire the Espar to the vehicle's starting battery. It needs to be wired to a separate battery. A 1 amp draw can kill a starting battery overnight, especially if the battery is a year or more old, and especially especially if it's cold outside, because the colder it is the fewer...

I kinda figured, but I didn't want someone to think that meant the link between the Espar and the battery. The Espar wiring is already fused, of course. But any connection to the battery needs to be fused, whether it's an appliance of some kind (including an inverter) or an isolator.

Battery, isolator, large cables and lugs, make sure you fuse the cable from the isolator to the battery.
