    Who are you?

I know I enjoy meeting folks from EO but I've met very few. I put TJ959 on my rear door but it's very small and probably no-one has seen it. maybe I'll try some larger letters when I get somewhere warm. The bumper sticker would be really great but I don't think I'll be able to make the show to...

    What the???

I think the flat uninteresting states wear me out more. You get a few hills or trees or sharp curves and they keep you interested. It seems like Ohio, Indiana and Illinois wear me out most. So where do we spend most of our time??? ...yup Just call me tired. :)

Guys you need to lighten up

I'm really not so much too heavy as I'm too short for my weight. I'd hate to lighten up though, since it helps hold down the truck in a crosswind. You can pick me out of the crowd of chubby Sprinter drivers because I drive the white Sprinter.

how do u hook up double batteries????

I agree. I have a Wabastco heater and it works quite well. I think the Espar costs a little less and works a little better. I have three batteries and can run my heater, TV, DVD player, etc. for abot 12 hours without a charge.

    Express Way

No problem. I'm home at the moment but who knows for how long. I carry a laptop on the road but I don't have online capability with it yet. My home E-mail address is [email protected]

    Express Way

I replied to this post in the newbie section. There are a few of us who are active on this site but it's been a busy weekend for me so I missed it for a while there.

    Express Way

Been with them since October. Small company that knows your name. Seem to be strait shooters. Slow in February but otherwise busy enough to keep me happy.

    Considering a change

I called Jung a couple of times back when I was in my "D" truck. They never returned my calls so I never persued it any further.

Guys you need to lighten up

I try to be friendly when I see other drivers but sometimes they send off vibes like ... don't bother me. I try to respect everyones personal bubble so maybe I may seem stand offish too. You're right. Maybe we shouldn't take ourselves so seriously. If you see a chubby old fart in a Sprinter...

carbon monoxide in a diesel ????

I've had a carbon monoxide detector in my last 2 trucks. It really helps the confidence and I sleep a little better. I think having one in a van is more important. They park closer together in most truck stops. It may not be your truck that gasses you but the one next door.

    Americans are ignorant about Canadians:

Here's where I have to disagree. Canada is a democracy so it has majority rule. If that's so then most people prefer it the way it is. My opinion or your opinion really doesn't matter. I love the place. I'm glad I don't go there much but that's because it's such a pain coming back over the...

    fedex custom critical (solo)

I don't always agree with Broompilot but I truly believe he makes an attempt to be honest and helpful in his posts. I don't think personal attacks are offered in that spirit. Shame on you dude

    Idle question on new Sprinter

I've had my Sprinter 5 months and 45000 miles. So far no problems. I made a stick to run at 1200 rpm because 2000 sounded like the pistons were changing holes. Anyway it works just fine. I added 2 batterys to the auxillary battery system and now they can run everything for about 12 hours...

    Memphis here I come

Yep. I'm with you on Olive Branch. It's the best place to go near Memphis. I've never been bothered there by professional female types but I've been scammed every time I get that far south anywhere. It seems like the panhandlers prefer a warmer climate. I must look like a soft touch...

I'm getting a little tired of it

I no-more than posted this and my DSL link went down and then I got a load so off I went. I really wasn't too upset but it seemed like it was time to say something. We all tend to make general comments that will offend someone. I'm no exception to the rule. I changed from the big trucks to a...

65 m.p.h. trucks in construction zones

You hit one of my pet peves. It really bugs me when I'm headed through a construction zone and I feel like the jam car because I'm speeding but I'm still 20 mph slower than everyone else. What's up with that?

I'm getting a little tired of it

From time to time and no matter what the subject of the post, someone has to take a shot at the van drivers. It offended me when I drove a "D" truck and it offends me more now. Everyone has an opinion just like they all have something else. It seems to me that you're showing your posterior...

    Mildly concerned

Is it just me, or is the winter season off to a slower start than usual? We all expect some dry spells but this one is the absolute record for slow starts for me. Up until just before Thanksgiving I was busier than I have ever been and since then I've been slower than I've ever been. Yes...

    2006 Goals

Every day above the dirt is more or less a good day. After my short term goal, which is to get this year started loaded. I would lke to up my availability by several percent. That should be easy since I no longer have my FL70. I have a small amount of debt that I don't like hanging over my...

    Nations Express

I was recently shopping for a new carrier and I considered Nations at the top of my list. I talked to several of their owner operators and got mostly favorable feed back. When it got down to brass tacks, I found that most of their fees were higer than other companies and they had more of...
