You should all be ashamed of yourselves

I dunno who is claiming that ... might just be some sort of straw man argument. Obviously, some nations probably had their own vested interests in voting for it. One thing worth noting is that not a single Muslim or Arab nation voted in favor of it. And course, in terms of political pressure...

You should all be ashamed of yourselves

I'm wondering when they will step up and act just to stop the illegal settlements that Israel continues to allow (encourage actually) their citizens to undertake ... which is essentially equivalent to throwing gasoline on a bonfire ...

You should all be ashamed of yourselves

The problem isn't just Israel's policy toward Hamas, but towards the Palestinian people generally - at that point it's only apples and oranges if one is completely and utterly ignorant of the actual situation on the ground in Palestine - something that unfortunately most folks in the US actually...

You should all be ashamed of yourselves

Hey ... all of the above has been working for you - so yeah, why not ? Maybe you'll treat us to a few more instances of your referring to the present occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. as our "boy" president ...

You should all be ashamed of yourselves

Probably an accurate observation ... I was rather disappointed that the thread was locked - since it eliminated any possibility of a response on my part, to clarify the points I was attempting to make and bring about understanding of what was meant and intended.

You should all be ashamed of yourselves

The only one who is being aggressive here is you - by seeking to stifle speech - and the worst part of that is that you actually operating from a point of ignorance or misunderstanding as to why what was posted, was posted ... and what the intent behind doing so actually was. I make no secret...

You should all be ashamed of yourselves

In that case you might want to read it again ... it's just a little more nuanced than that ;) I don't think there is any doubt - at least not in my mind - that there are some who would claim to be Christians, who harbor anti-semitic feelings and hatred for, not only the Jews, but for other...

Captain John Smith "He who shall not work, shall not eat."

It might be not that I oppose the premise ... but only what some are doing with it ... Perhaps somewhat along the lines of Gandhi's famous quote: "I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."

Yes ... that might well be his reaction to my comments ... nevertheless, the actual history of the matter is what it is ... ;) However it might more productive and worthwhile to consider the matter from the perspective of a Jew - particularly one who, as a scholar and student of Judiac Studies...

    Republicans Start To Cave

Yeah well ... who did that exactly ? Oh yeah ... that's right ... it was the Republican Party ... Gee - I thought he was "severely conservative" You are half correct on one thing though ... he was true to his core beliefs - which mostly consisted of ... (wait for it) ... having no...

    Republicans Start To Cave

That you personally are of this opinion is probably of little (negative) consequence, since AFAIK you don't hold public office. The problem with the viewpoint however is when it becomes widespread amongst the elected political opposition - which right at the moment is the Republicans. At that...

Israel Prevails in Conflict With Hamas - and Still Loses

One could also say that Christianity was, to some extent, a repudiation of the Jewish faith - or at a very minimum, how it was being practiced by many. Further, it might surprise you to know that some Jews reject the very notion of Judeo-Chirstianity ... as it tends to inherently presume that...
