You have to work a little to find Bessies but I assure you they make non-tourist pasties. They are the real thing. I have worked in and vacationed in the UP all my life and Bessies are among the best you can get. Even if they are just across the bridge.

We buy Pasties 10 at a time from "Bessies" in St Ignace. They freeze well and are as close to the real thing as you can buy. Can't go to the U.P. without stopping at Bessies for some fresh pasties and 10 to go. .........MMMMMMMMMMMMMgood.
