Not sure on the answer, but I know the weights always seem to be off. Usually the manifest is on the plus side ie 400lbs for a skid that weighs 200 I would hope they don't go off the manifested weight, because alot of places don't scale their skids and just estimate

I'd go by what the owners manual says. I usually go by the severe maintenance schedule(that's just me). And if the vehicle didn't run synthetic from the factory and you want to run it the 1st oil change is fine. I think nowadays the engine tolerances are so close that break in's are a thing...
