There are two kinds of people, for the most part, passionate people and book smart people. Both are prone to mistakes in life, no more or no less than the other. Passion is based on the heart, book learning is not. While both have their place, both make mistakes, passion is more real in the...

Canada V USA - Olympics Hockey

Well, being that most, if not all, play in the NHL, I think it makes little difference. I would like to see the USA win, but in the end, they will all be back playing for the teams that pay them to play, most of which are located in the USA. They ARE the best in the world, but they play for...

    Rand-McNally Intelliroute TND 500

I am not sure of the total number of stops, we have never had to input more than 4 to date. There have been a few mistakes and programming problems, no unit is perfect. Rand is working hard to fix any problems that might come up. They have an extensive network of "beta testers" that text the...

And your real life experience with any of these treaties, either covered or not, is? Leo is fixed in reality more than you might think he is. It is only his use of terms and writing that is lacking. That often happens when passion is primary in a persons life. Relax, no harm was done. He is...

Nope, my "trigger finger" is perfect. I do have a touch of "arthur" in my middle finger of my left hand. Both knees too. I understood what Leo was speaking of. I understood his mix up and mixing of terms. It was not hard, unless one is perfect and is not capable of understanding things...

    Rand-McNally Intelliroute TND 500

We have been using the TND500 for a few weeks now. We run Streets and Trips at the same time and then also check it against the Road Atlas as well. So far the TND500 wins hands down. Far fewer mistakes, far more accurate and much better for trucks.

Nope, Hollywood is not reality. How much time have you spent under the reality of any of those international treaties? I spent 3 years under the Geneva Convention, 18 months under the Statute of Forces agreement with Japan and 5 years in England with no treaty protection as all, as did my wife...

You seem to have missed a couple of posts there RLENT. I stated earlier that Leo was mixing up DI and national strength. They are NOT the same. DI is messed up and national weakness breeds contempt. Sorry if you missed what I said. I guess it is easy to just ignore all the post. I have done it...

    EOBR "Truck Friendly" routing

All new toys can be fun. The only things that can ruin that fun is making those toys mandatory. Either by law or a carrier requirement.

Yeah, the DI one is tough to say the least. It requires everyone to play by the same rules. Iran proved that they do not. They have proven themselves to be scum back then and still are, as a Nation, scum today. I am sure that there are many good, trustworthy people in that country, just as here...

I understand and agree, Leo. Just as I said about the "Cold War" it ended when we built a "bigger stick" than the Soviets could build. We did not have to use that stick. Diplomatic immunity is another issue.

    EOBR "Truck Friendly" routing

This part could be fun!! Another toy!! We get a lot of fun out of comparing Delorme, Streets and Trips and our new TND 500!! Just imagine the possibilities, 4 toys to work with!! Then, compare the entire mess to the Rand McNally Atlas and what we think is the best, fastest and safest route!!

But socialism is the answer to the world's ills!! Chile surely cannot need the help of a "mean ole" Country like the U.S. that still believes in outmoded ideas, like hard work and making a profit. Let's see the world's great socialist country, like China, Russia, Cuba etc handle this one with no...

    diplomatic immunity

Diplomatic immunity is a "sticky" thing to say the least. We did not have that immunity when we were overseas. We were subject to the laws of the country we were stationed in. In England that was not a problem. In Pakistan it was. Much depended on the mind set of the host country. The military...
