Gonna have to checkout speedway more I used to rack up the points filling up the straight trucks at the last company I ran for. Back then 66,000 points would get you $100 cash card and I earned quite a few of those :D plus their prices are pretty competitive. I pass the Beaverdam,Oh Speedway...

I hate flying and if high speed trains were an option I would be all over it. We cannot use our existing tracks for this purpose and Amtack is a money loser except for the east coast. Fort Wayne is the second largest city in Indiana and we don't have Amtrack service, really sad if you ask me...

Yes, for the most part tractor trailers are stuck buying fuel at these places. Even though it may be more of a pain to fuel one tank and turn around and fill the other, most stations are accesible to a straight truck. I use Speedway/belong to the rewards program, the local Lassus Handy Dandy...

I usually avoid the name brand truck stops because their prices are higher then the independents. Probably has something to do with alot of large companies who get the fuel discounts.

That why I was worried and added liability insurance, so now I am covered. I didn't realize before that Ceva picked up the liability part, partialy because I pulled away from their coverage with the settlement deductions and found insurance on my own. I am not a lawyer and didn't know all...

What was he driving? Did it have a sleeper? I have yet to see any Ceva Straights with sleepers, most are in Sprinters or regular cargo van or tractor trailer

Empty I was insured, non trucking Liability Ceva covers liability while under a load So in essence, when hauling for Towne I was uninsured :eek: as far as liability goes, all other insurance I was covered. Most of the time I had at least one Ceva delivery on my truck in addition to the Towne...

If anyone cares, I got my insurance issue solved and am fully insured regardless of who I am working for.

Did some finish carpentry work, worked at a tire store, delivered pizza's and waited tables and managed the restuarant on occasion. Started driving a straight truck in 99 and did a year at fedex home delivery. and now I am in my own straight truck:) taht's the readers digest condensed version LOL
