    GPS nuvi problem

When was the last time you updated the firmware? Push and hold the Power button to turn it OFF, but keep holding for 10-30 seconds (10-15 will usually do it) until it self-restarts. That's a soft reset. It should restart and reload the firmware and all the map data. That should fix the problem.

    Planned Parenthood's Problem vs. Capitalism

Covered it. "Welcome to life. Headsup - it's not fair, nor was is designed to be. Despite the efforts of many to alter the nature of life on this planet, evolution still rules, even in societies." Like everything, that goes in cycles, too. Kingdoms and empires have collapsed under their own...

If it seems exactly the same to you, well, then I got nothing.

    Planned Parenthood's Problem vs. Capitalism

It most certainly was not. Evolution, and the survival of the fittest, is what drives all life, and scruples have nothing to do with it. Is it fair that a robin pulls a worm right out of its home and eats it? The robin is brutal and relentless with the worm, and the worm loses. And the robin...

    Boehner resigns as Speaker

There's nothing wrong with crying once in a while, but the man cries at everything. Everything. The Pope visited, he cried, so many times that even the Pope lost count. He gave a commencement address at Ohio State, and cried all the way through it. He cried when talking about giving kids...

    Planned Parenthood's Problem vs. Capitalism

That may be true, yet nevertheless, despite not being able to, millions of people are managing to make it work. Welcome to life. Headsup - it's not fair, nor was is designed to be. Despite the efforts of many to alter the nature of life on this planet, evolution still rules, even in societies.

It's got notjing to do with Roe v. Wage or Bengazi, sheesh. It has everything to do with getting a C is 8th grade when they wanted, and therefore deserved, an A. It has everything to do with Betty Lou telling him no when he asked her out on a date 5 years ago and he still can't get anyone to go...

    Planned Parenthood's Problem vs. Capitalism

Congress, and feel-good legislation, allowed that to happen. I don't blame anyone for taking advantage of any and all of those opportunities any more than I blame evil rich people and even eviler corporations for figuring out ways to avoid paying taxes.

    Weekly (right-wing) Wing-Nut Roundup

What I'm mainly doing is illustrating the sheer folly of drawing conclusions based on incomplete facts, or worse, based on invented facts, and then putting actual faith into that which is not supported in any way by the known evidence. Faith can be funny like that.

Yeah, no, I really don't think that kid said that. Statistics show that 94% of all political Internet memes are created by stupid people who lack critical thinking ability, and the memes they create are often wrong and/or don't even convey the intended message because they are created not with...

    Weekly (right-wing) Wing-Nut Roundup

It may be less convenient to consider the comments from nearly every one of the survivors who have commented on it, than it is to simply believe he specifically targeted Christians, I suppose. But every survivor who was asked about it disagreed that he was targeting Christians specifically, and...

    Bolt Express not so express

Anyone doing proper research on expediting, before jumping in, will have talked to a really large number of expediters, and will have read just a snotload of posts here in these forums over the last 2 or 3 years. Anyone who has read a lot of these forums would know that the primary lanes of...

Regarding the Oregon mass shooting, it's the guns not the shooter.

I think you hit on something of deep fundamental importance with the "people don't cotton to the idea of being treated against their will" part of that statement. The biggest problem is "treated against their will" has taken on an entirely new meaning over the last 40 years or so. Initially...

    Planned Parenthood's Problem vs. Capitalism

That's what's so funny. Comstock and his army of postal inspectors had quite a varied imagination. Vacuum cleaner attachments were routinely seized. The US Postal Service once seized a shipment of promotional mini Louisville Slugger baseball bats (about the size of a tire thumper) headed to the...

    Planned Parenthood's Problem vs. Capitalism

It's a continuing battle of "My deeply religious Victorian morality is superior to your morality, or lack thereof, therefore I get to tell you what to do, how to think and how to live," which is the very position taken by Anthony Comstock, the self-labeled "Weeder of God's Garden," when he...

Most, if not all, of the satellite offices are located in government buildings, but the office space itself used for the transactions is not owned by the state, but rather is owned by the city or the county. For example, the satellite office in Russellville, AL (20 miles south of Florence...
