    I'll be the first.....May Locations?

After a short load from Cincinnati to Elkhart, IN we did another MT move from Elkhart to Grand Rapids, MI. We were 9th out in Elkhart, and 1st in Grand Rapids. No load offer today (Friday) though. It was a really bad week, only a little over 400 miles. :( Hopefully next week will be better.

    I'll be the first.....May Locations?

We made an MT move yesterday from Toledo to Richwood, KY. Too many trucks stacked up in Toledo and we were 13th out. Much better odds here and hopefully we will get something soon.

    Happy/thankful thread

I'm thankful for a lot. I'm thankful for my hubby whom I love (and who frustrates me to no end sometimes). I'm thankful for my 3 beautiful children (and one of my sons-in-law.. the other one not so much). I'm thankful for my even more beautiful grandchildren, all 6 of them and I'll be...

Problems with a carrier of fleet owner

Speaking of lost mail, even if no other USPS office has lost mail I know for a fact that a boat load of mail on it's way to Alaska was lost at sea. The boat sank in a storm. I was living in Alaska at the time and my missing mail is completely disintegrated by now.

    Is THis What You Expected

We're getting the same rate that we started with at E1 thank goodness. As long as the rate at least stays the same, we will do ok for ourselves and our truck owner.

    Driving Etiquitte

I turn our 4 ways on for a few flashes to say thank you. I think I'll just have to leave it up to the driver passing me to decide when they can get back over in front of me. I've tried turning my lights down, but the difference between my regular lights and my "down" lights is so small that...

    Driving Etiquitte

I agree, headlights are very bright now days. Unfortunately we can't turn our headlights off while our truck is running. (That's really annoying, especially since our APU isn't working so we have to idle) So flashing my brights quickly to a passing driver would be very bad etiquette and...

    Driving Etiquitte

True, no load is worth injury or death. Unfortunately there are those people who only practice offensive driving and they are a danger to everyone else. Back on to the subject of etiquette, what is everyone's opinion on flashing of headlights at a passing truck to signal when they can move...

    Looking for Drivers input :)

I really don't think the grass is any greener on this side of the fence. Things are slow all over right now. My opinion, changing carriers is not the smartest thing to do at this point and time just for the hopes of finding lusher pastures.

    Driving Etiquitte

You're right, the rules are the rules and they should be followed. What I'm saying is that there needs to be more emphasis put into the particular challenges that driving a truck entails into drivers training. Young drivers especially need to understand the differences and the dangers. All...

A New Story With New Writers, Please!!

Doug suddenly found himself flying through the air and landing flat on his back with a thump. As he lay there dazed, stars and birdies flying in a circle around his head, the pig spirit stood over Doug growling menacingly and drooling heavily. (I didn't know spirits could drool either, but...

We're at home for the weekend, and our APU still isn't fixed. I've given up on it. :(

    Driving Etiquitte

Drivers training needs to involve more education about the differences between driving trucks (straight and T/T) and 4 wheelers. I had an advantage when I was learning to drive. My uncle and his son were both T/T drivers and they taught me about driving. I learned first hand about the huge...

    Driving Etiquitte

I've even pulled into a rest area and taken a little break to give the leap-frog game time to get down the road far enough to no longer be a problem. (providing I have some extra time on the load) The "game" is annoying to me, so I'm sure it's annoying to the T/T drivers as well, and they are...
