I was a little kid the last time a commercial held any sway. They seldom advertise anything I buy, outside of food, anyway. The more they push it, the crummier the product likely is.

Which is why I watch less and less TV and even less sports than I once did. I wonder, just how many buy items based on commercials? I don't ever recall buying anything based on what I saw on a commercial. Quite the contrary, the more a product is advertised the less likely I am to buy it.

Many don't even try to sensitize them, whether they should or not is another debate. As to living in a free country, not any longer.
