    Any New Year's Resolution Survivors?

I didn't make any resolutions. I learnt that a long time ago. I only had a wish for the New Year, that being... that everyone everywhere get exactly what they deserve.

No liberal will ever take that. They like being offended. They live to be offended. It gives them purpose.

Kinda depends on where you are. From my vantage point, summer is alive and kicking. Like a 3 year old throwing a temper tantrum.

Oh, yeah, you're from down here. Kewl. I'm currently at the Walmart in Lauderdale Lakes. at 441 and Oakland Park Blvd. It's just a few blocks from where I lived here as a kid for a couple of years from about 1971-73. I lived in that subdivision next to and just west of Boyd Anderson High School...

Thanks for the clarification. I probably got some of that information confused. I've been to Germany, but it was a long time ago, in the mid 70s, and I've never driven there. My main points, mostly, is that the "autobahn" isn't just one highway, and that there are in fact speed limits on a...

The Emergency Highway Energy Conservation Act was a bill passed by Congress, and then signed into law on Jan 2, 1974 by Nixon. The law went into effect 60 days later. Ford became president in August 1974, and Carter in Jan 1977. It was supposed to reduce oil consumption by 2.2%. It did not do...

    The Trump Card...

Trump supporters brutally attacked at San Jose rally. Media blames Trump for igniting the hate, and the San Jose police for not controlling the situation. Labels attackers as "frustrated victims" of the situation. Unbelievable.

Yeah, you definitely do. Hauling property for compensation in interstate commerce without having motor property or contract carrier authority is not something that anyone wants to be caught doing. Some do it, tho.

Getting your regular driver's license in Germany is harder than Chinese arithmetic. I've got a couple of step-cousins who were raised in Germany. Your parents don't teach you how to drive, a certified Fahrschule (driving school) does that. The fahrschules are all private enterprises, but are...

I'm actually more in line with Michigan on the door signage. Any vehicle with a GVRW of more than 5,000 pounds that hauls property for compensation under motor carrier authority should have that authority permanently affixed to the driver and passenger side doors. Ruh, roh!

The German Autobahn is the equivalent of the Dwight D. Eisenhower National System of Interstate and Defense Highways, which is the official name of our Interstate highway system. The official name of the Autobahn is Bundesautobahn, which translates to "federal auto track" or "federal roadway."...

Please note the rolling of the eyes to indicate sharp sarcasm. My comment was in response to OVM's comment about customers asking for unmarked vans, such as when his carrier does blind shipments. Blind shipments are about hiding the shipper or receiver, or both. Not about hiding the carrier...

My Multi-Function Switch (MFS) does not move. It's not supposed to move. There are screws that hold the MFS in place. If they are missing it'll sure move. Here's a good writeup on replacing it. It may give you some clues, I dunno.

    Cincinnati gorilla shooting

This well-dressed fox, made of Lego bricks and valued at $15,000, was destroyed moments after a 4-year old child breached the barricade and entered the enclosure. How many more expensive, rare and innocent animals have to die simply because mothers aren't keeping their children close? SMH
