    Sprinter EGR valve, again!

I use Mobil 1 Diesel Turbo oil, and fuel up at any major brand. I add Howe's Diesel additive also.

    Sprinter EGR valve, again!

With more Sprinters being run out there, I think it would be good to get an update on the most common problem with them: EGR valves. I have 50+ thousand on my 08 and replaced the valve (under warranty) at 20 thousand. My idiot light has come back on and I'm told my EGR is looking for replacement...

There's a new type of B unit now

I run several trucks and they are all profitable, or I wouldn't be running them. I certainly understand about things being slow, but reading past posts clearly explain we have to expect this and be prepared for the slow times. Bob & Linda, the van stirs up talk because everyone wants to know...

There's a new type of B unit now

Never thought of it as a secret. Whereas there is only one unit out here at this time I wouldn't expect much talk about it.

    Boston area layover??

Boston area is a wide area; but if your looking for a safe overnight place Rt. 90 Mass. Pike service area (9 miles west) is where I'd head. If your in town the convention center in South Boston, or the Hynes center on Boyleston St. expect truck parking. South Boston area has transit so you get...

    Windshield washer solution

OK, it's wayyyy below freezing out here. What do you have for advice about keeping your windshield washer solution from freezing? Is there any special additive out there? I always try to buy the -20 or better solution, but it still freezes.

    New Winter Sprinter Driver

I am running the original Cont. M&S tires, not full snows. I only have 35000 (4 months) on the van, but the tires run smooth and quiet and there is no wear yet. As the tire pros said; no snows or even studs needed when running highways 98% of the time, as long as the driver uses common sense...

    C-Link question

One good job offerred because your c-link is working properly , plus no future problems makes up for wasted time in a repair shop. This time before you leave the shop make sure they do a complete calibration on the system and confirm it is working correctly. JMO Jack

    New Winter Sprinter Driver

I'm driving a 08 with airtabs and Cont. tires. I've got past experience in a GMC van, so I have something to compare with. The airtabs seem to reduce wind shear down to what a normal van would experience, plus they keep the rear view clear during storms. I checked with my tire dealer about the...

    Fedex BR unit

It's a refrigerated Sprinter van, White Glove, TVAL Unit. So far it's holding up very well. Compared to pushing a big truck down the road, this is a piece of pure joy.

    Fedex BR unit

Exactly - correct - right, what ever you say. E units get more per mile than vans - so go buy one. No "R" unit has the same exact contract as a surface unit, I assume you know this - so what's your point? If your thinking about expanding you fleet I suggest you consider all the options and...

    Fedex BR unit

Thank you fastrod for pointing out another option for everyone to consider. I'm sure there are others. Let's hear some of them, they should benefit everyone.

    New FedEx Van Rate

A thread about the new BR unit was started, but it has gone to issues about the new van contracts. I thought I'd try to direct it to this thread where it belongs, not necessarily in the general forum. Every FECC unit is an INDEPENDENT operator, and as such we all have the “CHOICE”. We can...

    Fedex BR unit

Every FECC unit is an INDEPENDENT operator, and as such we all have the “CHOICE”. We can accept the new contract, not accept the new contract, or find a new company that fits “OUR” choice. When FECC decided to change everyone’s contract and only give a % of the FSC – some INDEPENDENT contractors...

    Fedex BR unit

We are all aware that we are "INDEPENDENT" contractors and NO one is forced to accept an $.85 cpm contract. Each of us needs to decide what is best for them and then act on it. What I or anyone else accept for pay for a load, or cpm is their business. LINDANDAVE; it was a pleasure to meet...

    Fedex BR unit

Hope this helps. We're still in a test mode, but things are going well. The difference between being in a "D" unit and the Sprinter makes it all worth it.
