I don't believe it is the breed itself, but how it has been trained and bred over the years. They were often kept as companions for young children many years ago. How the individual trains and treats their dog will have more affect on it's behavior than the breed itself. Maybe we should be...

It is a LONG two weeks out on Lake Erie. The fly hatch is magnificent!! There are "rafts" of nymph shucks out the that are hundreds by hundreds of yards in size and there are hundreds of those!! I once caught a wild brown trout, in Scotland, it took a tiny size 22 nymph. It had a rat's tail...

The walleye shut down on Lake Erie when they are out. You can SOMETIMES get them to hit on a brown and gold crawler harness LARGE blade, pulled SLOW so it just "thumps" a bit. Other than that, two weeks of wasted time out there.

Life is renewed on the Lakes when they are out! What a great thing to see!

The other thing that we have noticed it that, for the most part, the loads that come in during those hours are not worth taking. They tend to be either van/sprinter loads or just plain don't pay worth a darn.

Just about the only time we get load opps like that is when we are not on a White Glove lock. Once in a blue moon we will get a White Glove opp like that. We had one about two weeks ago, the first this year.
