    Slush Busters revisited

Sure wish we would have ordered ours earlier since the price has went up but even at that price they are a bargain! Just make sure you apply them right as they do not work as well if they are to far off set. Yes I am speaking from experience ok Bob's experience!

    Slush Busters revisited

Moose if they are built like the original slush busters and you apply them right you will be amazed at how much they help. Darn that price is sure a lot higher then it used to be!

Stand up stand up and fight

I just finished reading Alan Greenspan's book and he talks about bailing out foreign banks while he was Fed Chairman and why they felt as if they had to do it. Brought a whole new insight into this situation and it is not as easy to solve as it sounds. Just let them fail I hate to say is not...

I have only used these on Bananas and we are also amazed at how they work. I will have to try this on lettuce as I had pretty much quit wasting money because it spoiled to fast.

Short loads are they worth it?

Heck yes DaveKC we would take the less than 75 we go do an hour or two hour job we get paid $300.00 on up and now we are the top of the list. We do not need to sit for two days for a load we have just been paid very well and the next truck dispatched that fits what our truck is qualified for we...

    Independent Contractor or?

We keep hearing more and more about what makes an employee and this is interesting: What's the difference between an independent contractor and an employee? It's important to classify workers correctly. For payroll tax purposes, workers are generally classified as employees or independent...

Short loads are they worth it?

Phil you hit the nail on head for how we look at the short loads. When we are offered a less than 75 which just pays ok but there are 10 trucks in front of us we jump on that load. Our ok though is always over $200.00 for a less than 75 load. We just did a lift gate less than 75 load and we...

    Lift Axle????

Bob is thinking we paid $4500.00. That price was installed with wheels and tires. Later we added shocks to the axle which we wish we would have done at the beginning.

    Lift Axle????

We bought ours at a Utility Trailer place in Saint Louis where they also installed it. We thought the price was reasonable. Might be an area you can check to see if any of the Utility Trailer locations near you will install one.

    freight securement

Turtle I agree with you 100% I just cannot imagine calling in and saying we have dropped something off of our lift gate or we did not secure our freight well enough to handle a hard stop or turn. The money we are out is one thing but the blow to personal pride would stick with you forever...

    Do you see "REASON?"

We understand that FCC is running two dispatch systems at this time and the load opp refusals are on the new system. When you accept load this is shown on the old system. One of these days everything will be moved to the new system and then you should be able to see all the refusals counted...

    freight securement

With USX we had three load bars and if that didn’t hold the freight in then that is the way it was. We often picked up loads with only one load bar holding the freight or nothing at all and was a pre loaded sealed trailer. All of our loads had to be sealed, so often we never even saw the...

    Favor of Postcards

I bet they just passed each other and am I glad you did that one from a very cool place in Indiana. I have had a terrible time trying to find a post card for that state. I have to be looking in all the wrong places.

    Straight Truck Tire Chains

We have always chained and continued on when the chain sighs are out. Each and every time we felt safer in those states who have the chain laws and use it. When we have our chains on everyone has to slow down and you can proceed at a slow pace. What I hate is when you are in a state on ice...
