    LAPTOP USERS

Compaq Presario 2500. 2.6 Pentium 4, 512 megs of RAM, 60 GIG hard drive. Around $1400(?). My first laptop was a Compaq and was pleased enough to stick with it. The only problem has been the modem failing. This required the mother board to be replaced. Extended service pays off! I definately use...

    Want to my own Sprinter

I agree with rode2rouen. It has'nt been a good year, in general, for vans. Things will have to go good the rest of the year for this to be my 2nd worst year I've had in the business. I would be very leary of spending the big bucks on a Sprinter.

TRUCKING STOCKS, THE SNOWBALL IS STARTING

Sounds like your glass is twice as big as it needs to be.:+ I think people don't make as many mistakes when times are slow. Less production means fewer chances to mess up. It also means less time pressure, more time to make sure everything is right. We do experience pronounced ups and downs in...

UPS to Slash Jobs at Supply Chain Unit

A few months ago I picked up at the UPS facility across the road from the truck entrance to the Fern Valley Road Ford plant in Louisville. Sometimes you go somewhere and it does'nt seem like the left hand knows what the right hand is doing. At this place, I don't think the left hand even knew...

    dumbing down

The poor state of public schools goes back a ways. When I was a high school freshman, oh so MANY years ago, they had no books for my social studies class. It basicly became a free form discussion/study hall type of situation. Those of us that used the time wisely got A's, the kids that slept got...

Hey here is something to think about at the polls

RE: Hey here is something to think about at the po Not the same but equally egregious. The left has been frustrated by the success of Conservative Talk Radio for some time. The failure of Air America to attract any significant audience is a tribute to how little they have to say. I've tuned...

    Possible DieselPhreak Sighting

I feel your pain Moot. I've shouted at him a couple times and had no responce. But, I'm also guilty of not having the Childrens Band on very often. Phreak, the truck's looking good. You must have broken out in a cold sweat around all that chrome at Walcott.
