Where are they getting this money for a recount

I do think it's interesting that there's no push for a recount in the states where Hillary won by a smaller margin that Trump won in Pennsylvania, like New Hampshire, Nevada and Minnesota. Trump won PA by 78,000 votes, but Hillary won New Hampshire by less than 3,000 votes, Minnesota by 44,000...

Where are they getting this money for a recount

It's campaign funds so the rules are the same as for any campaign donation, governed by the Federal Election Commission laws. So all donations are logged and are public. But it also means that, unlike a crowdfunding site like GoFundMe, people can't get their money back if they change their mind...

    The Trump Card...

Maureen Dowd is a long time NYT columnist. She is a brilliant writer (Pullitzer Prize winning) with a sharp, acerbic wit (I love how she refers to Obama as "Spock"). Her latest column is no different. When she says that Hillary getting more votes in the popular vote can serve as her...

The same argument can be made using any routine or recurring (especially unnecessary) expense. Coffee, milk, life insurance, underwear, it's a long list.

Where are they getting this money for a recount

"reasonable people" = "gullible liberals" I think Trump is right in calling this a scam by Jill Stein. Originally, the goal for this was $2.5 million, because that's pretty much exactly what a recount in WI, MI and PA will cost. For example, in Michigan it costs $125 per precinct for a recount...

Please reply! OK... So if you could go back again...?

I would have warned John Lennon. I also would have taken every penny I had and laid down a bet on the 1980 USA Olympic hockey team to win the Gold, and then taken those winnings and divided it up between Apple, Microsoft and Intel.

How to solve the killing of Police Officers

I know. Just like the unarmed black men who are being shot just for being unarmed black men aren't the ones doing the shooting, either.

How to solve the killing of Police Officers

I agree. Like I said, it's a pretty complicated issue. It would be an easy problem to solve if police would just stop shooting people, and bad guys would respect authority. But neither of those are going to happen until the root cause is acknowledged and fixed.

How to solve the killing of Police Officers

No, not unless shot at. But waiting to shoot only after a real, credible threat presents itself, instead of a imaginary or perceived potential threat, is a good start. It would prevent people in the toy department at Walmart from getting shot because they were holding a BB gun. It would prevent...

How to solve the killing of Police Officers

No, I wouldn't. That's why I'm not a cop. There are at least 18 answers to that question, only one of which is "he's going for a gun," and even that one doesn't justify instant death as a penalty.

How to solve the killing of Police Officers

Yes, we very much disagree, as I don't believe the penalty for keeping your hands out of sight, exercising freedom of speech, and running away should be extrajudicial death.

How to solve the killing of Police Officers

Trying to come up with ways to stop police killings is treating the symptom, not the cause. It's a pretty complicated issue that won't be solved on a web forum, but as long as the centurions view the public as an enemy threat, and as long as the citizens view the centurions as enemy oppressors...

Any companies willing to hire CDL B Learner's License Holder?

Not sure why you're sorry. That's what we're here for. But it would seem that you still need to do more research. I'd start by going to a truck stop or two, several times, and talking to a few straight truck drivers.

    California could Calexit.....

I think we'd leave the military bases there. We have them all over the world as it is. As for the water, just cut 'em off. That'll learn' em.

    California could Calexit.....

California would do fine. If you factor in the Cost of Living, California drops to #11 in the world just below France (and China jumps to #1 ahead of the USA). Texas has about the same GDP as Mexico, incidentally. GDP doesn't factor in federal money.

    Verizon new data plans

The problem with unlimited data plans are the people who will use the phone as their home WiFi router and watch TV and movies 6-10 hours a day, all of it over the Internet, using 500 GB or more a month. The plan I'm on is the Nationwide Talk 900 for $59.99. It gives me 900 talk minutes, but...
