Sorry Sky & Turtle - last time to get sidetracked ... OVM, I am sure that you realise that I meant the genuine ppl below the poverty line - the one's that have to line up for food, lost their homes etc etc, the one's you are describing above are the "slackers"

IMO - With the poverty rate so high, I don't think all can be called "slackers"

Don't forget the hunkering :rolleyes: Agreed that there was mental illness back in the day, but today it does seem to be a multitude of ppl that are under therapy, on pills and whatever compared to then. Most of them probably cos they had one bad day and don't know how to cope with it.
