Can anyone give me the 411 on Heavy Weight Enterprises-Fleet Owner with Panther?

What is likely the case is they are leased to Panther and use their authority to obtain loads outside of the company. We do the same thing. When using Panther's authority, you basically book the load and Panther takes 15 percent. Just another option to keep trucks moving.

    Hit and run driver

If it has new bolts and things were out of wack, it likely happened in the last couple of weeks. Any longer than that would have surfaced some other issues. Like a tire repair at another shop from being out of alignment. That type of thing. Tracking of any type would likely find that problem...

    Hit and run driver

As a fleet owner, I think you would be well served to do your due diligence to confirm nothing did happen. A follow up with state police would confirm or at least provide cover if something came up at a later date.

    Hit and run driver

Probably not the right course of action. Fleet owner has to prove the damage, not the other way around. Documentation and photos would be necessary to prove anything.

    Hit and run driver

Good advice. Even if they didn't tow it they likely would have a "incident report" with either the serial number or plate number.

    Hit and run driver

Outside of the QC tracking, you might be stuck. Good reason for the escrow. Not because you can't trust all drivers, it is just good business sense. You can call say Freightliner, and see if any parts or repairs were done under the trucks serial number. Outside of that, just take pictures...

Can anyone give me the 411 on Heavy Weight Enterprises-Fleet Owner with Panther?

If it is a solo, he better like teaming. It isn't likely regardless of carrier that a fleet owner is going to put a solo in a 2011 or newer truck. Ok....maybe.......if it is a Hino.;)

Question Dr. lose child to CPS

It really isn't a matter of what the "usual suspects" say or don't say. In this case it is relatively easy as the majority of answers are in the current bill. Some things as time passes may change, but it is in black and white. I would go to the government site itself rather than read a...

Question Dr. lose child to CPS

Not to worry. While I was waiting on a load to come to fruition I was getting bored. My usual self prescribed therapy is to engage in some cheap entertainment. ;)

Was wondering if anyone could give information on Universal Freight Services....

I would be careful and do your research. If no one has ever heard of them, there is likely a reason. We have seen over the last couple of years, no name companies that drivers hook up with only for the carrier to go under. And of course, they leave the driver high and dry and open under...

Question Dr. lose child to CPS

I'm not really sure on this? The CPS could be working as secret agents for the Obamacare "death panels". ;)

    Ambient sensors....Heard of them?

These aren't new. I know they came into question in either CA or NY because the low temperature was considered animal cruelty if a animal was in the cab. Of course it doesn't matter if the driver freezes, it only matters that Fido doesn't get a chill.

    specing out a truck

Very true. On the other side, the carrier knows the guy with a 20k tractor will run for less. The more the carrier can keep the more they will exercise that option. See it going on now actually. Several carriers have dropped rates or they will game play something in order to pay less like DH...

    IRS targets certain groups

If you are a "rich" guy and have money left over, you need to get that to the government ASAP. Failure to do that means "you aren't doing your fair share".

    Bad News for Doctor Shoppers

They likely will dovetail this in to Obamacare. If you get a prescription from any doctor it goes in a database. Something that would get flagged with regards to a CDL would come up right away. They want to use this as well for pilot licenses and a few others. Welcome to big government.

    specing out a truck

They may be a little cheaper but are a better match to most carriers. One breaks, just grab another one. Tractor breaks down, easy switch to bring in another. Much more effective and efficient than a straight unless it is a place a trailer can't get in. Driver will gross less with a trailer but...
