Another advantage is that if you blow it up, you could buy an engine on Craigslist the same day, slam it in the next day, and not be down for weeks and lose/spend hundreds/thousands.

I remembered some details! The link you posted is the system protection data. It shows maximum DPF temps. Inlet is lower than outlet, which is good (there's not an airflow problem through the engine). DPF outlet is getting pretty high. This could be from some injector degradation. However...
