That looks like something you'd see on a billboard in Chicago.

This is what happens when you go off topic and hijack a thread to make it about an individual. Respond to the post, and not the poster, and things tend to stay on the topics at hand.

It is. It's also OK for anyone else to use the word "ass" on here, as long as they aren't calling someone an ass or insulting someone else with it. No, I got that. I simply just replied that it might not be the wisest thing to dismiss any particular source of information solely because of the...

Please don't try and rewrite the history of the thread within the thread itself. It doesn't look good. He asked for information on what people are running in Promasters without limiting who those answers could come from. First of all, I have offered no advice on repairs, other than it might not...

That's fine, of course. But you may want to keep in mind that, for years, the same Quality Certified Chrysler mechanics were replacing entire transmissions due to a fouled circuit board that could be cleaned in two seconds, and they were replacing engine heads and even entire engines due to...

The way Top Tier works is, it's a licensed specification for the gasoline provided to retailers by the terminals. Each brand can have their own detergent package from the same terminal. For example, the same terminal can provide Chevron with its Techron detergent package and BP with their...

That's a risky and dangerous way to think. What worked for even last year's van may or may not work for this year's van. Diesel and gas are entirely different animals, as well. Baldwin filters may be perfectly fine, but if it was me I'd stick with the Mopar OEM filters (until I could find out...

The factory fill on Promasters is Pennzoil Platinum 5w20 full synthetic. There's really no reason to change that, since that oil was designed for that engine. If you want to use another brand, just make sure it meets Chrysler's MS spec and you should be OK. It's not like the old days where you...

Iowa to Elk Grove Village for Friday delivery, so it looks like I'll spend Thanksgiving here at either the TA or the Pilot/Road Ranger in lovely Hampshire, IL. On the way over here this afternoon, I drove through Waterloo on US 20 and a few miles east of there I pulled off at the Jesup exit to...

    Mechanical 2005 Sprinter Recall

Yup. If your EGR or MAF is bad, you'll know it without an engine light. Some of the symptoms can mimic a bad fuel pump or a fe other things, but you'll get a light and a code for those. FlyingVan probably knows more details about all this. He's the one who clued me in.

    Mechanical 2005 Sprinter Recall

If you take your Sprinter into a dealer to have the reprogramming done, make sure you have enough to pay for a new MAF, because the instant the ECU gets reprogrammed the engine light will illuminate and a MAF failure code will be there. The most common symptoms of a faulty Mass Airflow Sensor...

    Tesla Unveils All-Electronic Big Rig

Yup. I think electric vehicles are going to be über popular. <giggle> Things are coming full circle. In the early days of the horseless carriage electric power waa by far the most popular. But battery technology just wasn't there, and couldn't match up with gasoline powered internal combustion...

You know how when you deliver to a place where you know you won't get loaded out of, so you deadhead to a place where you are likely to get loaded, only to get there and immediately get a load right back to near where you just delivered? I luv it when that happens. :turtle:

Meijer has put in reservations for 4 of them so far. I can see Meijer, Walmart, Target, etc., having charging stations at the distribution centers and the stores. Charging stations at LTL terminals. The crossdock warehouses for assembly plants would make great use of electric trucks.
