Are the brake lights on for no reason? Sounds like pedal switch adjustment.

It's getting hotter than Hades out, so the air conditioning questions are nailing my private messages. If you have a refrigerant charge, and the blower motor switch and ac button function but the compressor does not come on, check for voltage at the pressure switch. If none, check the 'room...

And for whoever is reading, this is the first time I've run into a functioning pump that has failed to put out sustained max pressure at high volume. The cause was a very improperly installed fuel filter allowing watery rusty debris into the pump. It's internal strainer was overwhelmed. Even...

Interestingly enough, a coworker pulled that fitting out today while chasing a P0087, and it was clogged with junk.

There is a plug provided under the kick panel (I think, haven't messed with one yet) provided specifically for telemetry and other data monitoring.

My plans included the trans-go kit, beast sun shell, and a z-pack in the 3-4 clutch. The truck isn't mine. Mostly being used for general contracting and it tows stuff occasionally.

More junk I'm working on. The sun gear reaction shell broke, and there was a lube failure in the rear planet which cracked the case. It looks like I'll be building a Frankenstein.

It looks like it caught on fire at least once, too. I can actually see fuel weeping through the sides of the fuel lines. The owner thinks it'll be ready to work by the weekend. By work, im assuming he means itll give the tow truck drivers something to do.

Ive limped a few trucks back to safety like that, haha. Can you reproduce the problem with the ghetto fuel system installed? Im posting while working on a god-awful international 4700 that someone dumped in my yard. Edit: it appears to have bathtub silicone sealing the oil pan. Not sealing...

I've stuck a borescope in there to have a look, but I've never seen debris make it that far upstream.

Does yours have the Davco filter housing? There is a little check valve inside the inlet adaper fitting that catches stuff too. It sounds like you're being pretty thorough. That's very unusual. The EGR coolers on these are not known for leaking. Maybe that's what was contributing to the...

I've never taken that one out. Just the banjo bolt.

    New GM van?

I love seeing the words "stupid torque" describe an engine. They mentioned a 6 liter Vortec. Im assuming they meant an LS platform engine. I hope.

All Hino turbos pass a little oil through them. But this one sounds excessive. The oil mixes with egr gases and this junk is what you end up with. The crankcase breather can be upgraded with a cap and filter from a newer 11-16 conventional. It will help condense the oil droplets from...

Most of the cracked flexplates I've come across sound like a main bearing knock. If it only does it going down the road under a load, then I think that it's worth looking over the driveline again. Does the noise show up again under coast, going downhill?

They do fail. More often than not, they just quit and never restart, and make almost no fuel pressure at all. If it runs at all, it's probably a fuel restriction causing P0087. Very, very common. Everything in International's current lineup pisses me off. That Terrastar, that's one ugly...
