Since our truck is in "sick bay" and we managed to get a rental with unlimited miles, we decided to beach it. We are now in Hilton Head for a few daze! Hey, maybe I can find another hurricane[emoji41]

Yes, Progressive thru CIS. A little disappointed in CIS, I called them and asked for John and the girl that answered told me he was busy and I should call Progressive. I just wanted to ask him a couple questions first. Customer service is a lost art for millennials

Water in cylinders caused hydraulic back pressure between valve & piston. Piston rod blew down past cam and out thru the bottom of the engine where there wasn't supposed to be an opening. Up until then oil was good, not so much after that. Water, of course, courtesy Harvey & I-10 underpasd...
Maybe the government should have a rule that federal dollars can't be spent on infrastructure unless properly engineered to be safe from natural disasters. Oh wait.......back to Trump now

Not to mention that as you travel around Houston the highway overpasses we're kept level with highway and instead they dug out the intersection below the overpasses, I presume, to save money. A lot of flooded man made hollows below overpasses. Just Sayin'![emoji56]

At Ford, given the LOUD BANG at 65mph, oil smoke, flames, I would say threw a rod, possibly due to water in engine causing extreme hydraulic pressure. No idea how water could get in engine:think3:. But will wait for official word from Ford??
Good Morning from beautiful Huntsville, Texas. Can't leave August behind yet, last evening (8/31), heading up I-45 and Engine blew, bang, flames & oil everywhere. I'll keep y'all posted:(
No money saved, engine blew and caught fire on I-45 going thru Huntsville. Probably have to sell a kidney for this. Will check in with local Ford in AM.
