    Government Run Health Care

Most of the Old Amish also work hard, in a physical manner. They eat far less processed foods as well. Then there is my Dad, he is only 91. That has NOTHING to do with the fact that the United States government does NOT honor it's contracts with it's citizens. It also has nothing to do with...

    Government Run Health Care

That is what I was trying to explain. There is a HUGH difference between insurance and health care. Under my wife's insurance she can use any DR, anywhere in the country, at network prices. She can use any DR at all, but would have to pay out more than a network DR. We just can't buy insurance...

    Cr-unit question

Not in mine, that is for sure. I have more insulation, 4", than most other trucks have. Just like everything else it is a double edged sword. I use less fuel and has less trouble holding temps than trucks with less insulation, but I do lose space. Over all, I believe the thicker insulation...

    Ray of hope!

I hope they can find something. Maybe even get lucky enough to find something that will kill ALL carp, not just the Asians, although the Asian is the bigger problem. I can imagine the stink, kinda like being along the backs of salmon rivers after they die off, WHEW! Sure is a lot of "things"...

    Government Run Health Care

What you are speaking of is an insurance problem, caused by the government. Anyone can cross state lines and buy health care. Just go to a DR and pay for it. The feds have yet to put an end to that.

    Government Run Health Care

People also seem to mix up the cost of insurance with the cost of health care. They are NOT the same thing. As stated, the law suits have had a big impact on prices, although I believe that federal interference and controls account for a larger percentage of the excessive costs.

    Your First Movie

Yeah, a quater was about right. I DO remember that LAST movie I ever saw in a theater. It was Apollo 13. We only went to see that because it was very hot and muggy that day and we did not have AC in the house. I don't remember what it cost, other than it was too much.

    Government Run Health Care

A truly free market would fix every problem and deliver the best health care system possible. We have not had a free market in health care for decades. That is a could part of the reason that prices have gone out of control. Government has been messing with it forever and with each "fix"...

    Flat rate???

No easy answers for sure. What you are talking about is just some of the reasons I am kinda happy I never did put a fleet together.

Amazon thinks they can do it cheaper with there own trucks.

Too much of a nightmare. I would think they would be better off building their delivery system to meet their needs. Different model and different people. The best way to get what you want is to do it yourself.

    Flat rate???

Everyone is different and everyone's business plan must suit what they need. I wish you luck. My original plan was to start a fleet, that has changed due to many circumstances and reasons. Some my fault, some not. From what I am seeing, right now at least, I am kinda happy I don't have a fleet...

    Ray of hope!

There was a massive kill off of Asian carp in KY. As many as 1/2 million of the damaging invasive specie died off. Wildlife officials said that what ever killed them did not affect native species. They are now going to study the dead fish to try to determine what killed them and if it can be...

    Spring Weather

The spring weather, which had been rather clam so far this season, has heated up. There were as many as 31 tornadoes across the south yesterday. Today it seems that the I40 corridor from Memphis to Nashville, is likely to get with severe weather. The I40 corridor is a busy one for many in our...

Most likely. 30 years younger I would have had kids around and this is NO business to be in if you have kids at the house.

You've got to be kidding me

I cannot help you, sorry. Our business is vastly different from your business. Our's is also not as much affected by the economy as yours might be. Some of what we carry moves in good times and bad. Maybe a similar FDCC team can advise you better. Good luck.
