    Van markings

Like Greg said - you are not totally off-base. What you are referring to is know as the "Full Faith and Credit Clause" of the Constitution of the United States, the supreme law of the land. It addresses the duties, states within the United States, have to respect the public acts, records...

Cargo Vans which do you prefer? Ford/Chevy/Dodge?

Short answer - yes it could be a mechanical problem. Long answer: Having a vehicle with a longer wheelbase (distance between front and rear axles or wheels) should have absolutely nothing to do with what you are describing (the shimmying or harsh ride) - a vehicle with a longer wheelbase will...

    new express-1 sprinters

Same as Jack - guy I talked to was all ready to go orientation, after being previously pre-qualified, and was told that they were now full up and that they would NOT sign him on at this point.

Are You Enjoying Your Sprinter ?

Excellent News !!! The 'Mogs are a-comin ! I think I'll order mine with PTO and the optional boom-mounted brushhog .... that way I'll be able to keep the fence lines clear when I'm OOS and at home .... :D

Are You Enjoying Your Sprinter ?

Hey Ken, Are ya off the meds again .... or back on them ? Kinda hard to imagine that they would killing off SINGLE (Rear ?) AXLE Sprinters when they don't even have a unit with tandem rears ......... You weren't by chance referring to single rear wheels vs. duals were ya ?

    Van markings

Greg, Are your comments above regarding markings being required on commercial vehicles based on Federal law, Michigan law, or both ?

    Sprinter payload?

Not quite accurate - payload capacities are on 2006 and earlier Sprinters included factoring in the weight of a full fuel tank and a "average-sized" person. As Leo says you have to include all your other junk though.

Are You Enjoying Your Sprinter ?

Just rolled 72K on our 2006 Sprinter. Had a engine sensor go bad around 1000 miles - it was either the Air Intake Temperature Sensor or the Mass Airflow Sensor .... don't recall - replaced under warranty. The rack and pinion unit developed a leak somewhere under 4500 miles. It may have...

Are You Enjoying Your Sprinter ?

Since you can get an aux battery in that location from the manufacturer as an option, yes it can be done safely - there's no way an mfg. would offer it if it posed a significant hazard. Most vehicles are so drafty, air-wise, that having hydrogen accumulate to a such degree that it would be...

    I'm finished with Windows!

Star, You can get 'em way cheaper than that - I think the lowend MacBook (not Pro) is around $1100. I've been using primarily Macs since I bought a Mac Plus back in '87 (in a former life I did computer graphics and animation and the Mac was a good fit - easy to use and it just "worked") ...

    A new conspiracy?

Mike, Of course who you support is totally a personal decision ..... but methinks that any calculation that is predicated on "I'll support who I think can win - rather than the candidate who I feel is best for the country ..... because the media says he don't have a chance" does not serve this...

    A new conspiracy?

Well, I'd have to review the current legislation - but in the original bill (HR2525) that Linder introduced, payroll taxes (those taxes used to fund Social Security) were repealed - thereby funding Social Security thru a sales tax. ...... if that ain't touching Social Security ...... brother, I...

    A new conspiracy?

Good call Hawk ..... :D The Huckster recently "got religion" on the tax issue and got on the FairTax bandwagon (probably for campaign financing reasons) However examine his record as Gov ..... tells a little bit different story on his view on taxes ..... I'm kinda funny that way I guess...

    A new conspiracy?

Yeah - I've been seeing them all over the place too, as well as homemade signs that simply say "Ron Paul 2008" That's probably because by and large their candidacy's are based on the idea of personal freedom and individual liberty - the very thing that this country was founded on - given that...

    A new conspiracy?

I understand what you are saying about a viable solution. However one could say that the Fair Tax is not a "politically viable" solution - in that it committed the cardinal sin of touching the third rail of American Politics - the Social Security System. Getting this country to change from an...

    new van driver here.

Terry - there was one error in your expense recap - which was great BTW. You had $4,160 for Truck washes and laundry @ $20 .... not that big a difference in the overall picture.

    A new conspiracy?

I try and avoid making generalized categorizations about supporters of any candidate (particularly one's using a media made-up name that could be considered perjorative) - simply because a generalization will never be "true" - since it avoids specifics - and specifics are always where truth...
