Send your thoughts on the Proposed 34-Hour Restart

I don't but, I keep up with the rules so when my brother asks me something about the rules I can answer it for him. Plus I can help others understand how simple the rules are. Plus I used to drive a big truck. drove over 20 years. I just keep up

Show me anything in the new rules that are hard to understand. If you run team you can now spend 2 in the right seat as off duty and 8 in sleeper. What's hard about that If your solo all time sitting and not in sleeper is off duty, where as, under old rules all the time spent on the truck...

You would only spend 2 night in a room if you want or stay in the truck one night and hotel the next. Then again I would find things to do away from the truck stop. Carry a bike go riding during the day depending on where you are. There are lots of things todo away from truck stops, you just...

I totally agree with your statement. Hell I could do 55 MPH and at the end of the day claim I averaged 67 MPH because I was on paper logs. Now I did quit doing that some years ago and started running s close to legal as possible. Now in the van I don't worry I drive till tired and take a 5 to...

Why would you be in a truck stop for 3 days. Myself I would get a hotel room for the weekend that has a pool and small gym to use. They are never going back to the split sleeper berth, you and others need to realize this fact and get on with your life. They will never go back to stopping...

Send your thoughts on the Proposed 34-Hour Restart

I have no clue why people cannot understand the rule its simple 1. Your 34 hour restart can only be used ONCE a week. It does't matter if you start it at 3 in the afternoon you still need two 1am to 5am no matter what. 2. Your next 34 restart can only begin at the same time you started the...

Because they had to retool the KC plant to make the vehicle, unlike Mercedes who have brought us a vehicle the've were building in Europe.

Again for those who don't know!

What's the point... are you talking about Vans or straight trucks. Are you talking about vehicles over 10001 or under that number.

Wonder how many trucks were lost to "Carb" rules Jan 1st?

It's not the truck age that counts, it's the motor age. If you have a 2006 truck you could have a 2005 engine. I see too many people mixing the two things up when it comes to the Ca rule.

    Too many vans!

Sorry to say that your biggest mistake was buying your first vehicle on credit and with such a large payment. I just about fainted when I read you had a 750 dollar a month payment. Even if I want another Sprinter or if I decided to buy the new Ford I'll wait till I have cash to pay for the...
