    The Inevitable Begins

I don't understand why a couple of contracts being cancelled is news worthy. It's happened before and it will happen again. As OVM mentioned, sometimes a carrier will clean house. No big whoop... A contractor that's a valuable asset won't have to be concerned about this.

    Would real expediters?

That's exactly what I'd be typing if this thread had brought out a bunch of responses like, "OMG! Finally! I've had this GPS for 2 years and I just can't figure it out. I've been desperately searching for a GPS class and can't find one." So, how would you handle the convention center senario...

    Primary Residence/"Home"

If someone makes their truck their official domicile, they'll lose the per diem deduction. That's a significant chunk of change.

Maybe the same guy that started the small trailer thread?

    Would real expediters?

LOL... I'll take the guy that knows it's a no brainer. The guy that needs a class wouldn't rise to my minimum standards of... well... a lot of things, I suspect. I can see someone that's never used one having a couple of questions, and that's fine. But, a class? Reeeaaaly??...

    Would real expediters?

As soon as I'm done getting my degree in retractable ink pen I'll sign up. I'm having a problem though. Instead of push, write, push, I keep going push, push. The professor says he has confidence in me and I should keep trying.

I was a little puzzled by this odd response as well, but it just illustrates how much he still needs to learn about expediting. I've been to several nuke plants and they're just one example of the places we go to that have lots of rules concerning the trucks that come to their facilities...

Real Expediters Do NOT Use GPS...

I'm wondering how this became an issue in the first place. Some my have thought it came up because you asked for one. While I wouldn't call the guy across the board stupid, saying what he said was a dumb statement. Sure, GPSs aren't perfect, but they're good the vast majority of the time. When I...

We point out the potential problems you could encounter and that makes us negative? You see a cargo van on it's 5th day of sitting and you think you'll work all or most of the time? You really should research the forums with an open mind. Posted with my Droid EO Forum App

O.K... I found the box to "override automatic cache management" and it's unchecked. My cache is using 193mb. That's all I've found so far. I'm running Firefox 4.

    is this a good deal?

I wouldn't stay with a carrier that wouldn't tell me what a load pays. There is just no justifiable excuse for that.

You'll need to run that by the carriers that you're interested in signing on with. They may not want you to do that, seeing it as a potential problem. If your van breaks down, well, it happens. But, if you were 400 miles out on a tight time frame for delivery and a wheel bearing goes out on your...
