    straight up talk regarding expiditing

Your best bet is to research the archives here at EO and attend one of the upcoming workshops. Feb is Knoxville, and a little closer to your home in Louisville in March. Between all that it will put you in a place to make a well informed decision. Davekc owner 21 years PantherII EO moderator

    Detriot Diesel Problem

Rich is correct as there are dealers out there. Based on your post, it sounds like your intake heater or preheat needs to be replaced or repaired. Everything from the fuse to the unit should be checked. That should solve your problem. Pretty typical problem but not a high dollar repair. Good...

    Curious on truck purchase

Do they have the four cylinder or the six? The one I seen at the expo had air ride seats but no air ride suspension. They now have air ride suspension as a option. The economy that you mentioned would have me concerned. My other question would be is it a 6 speed? Two miles a gallon is a concern...

    Curious on truck purchase

It would be great to get some feedback on them and see how they are holding up in a OTR application. Davekc owner 21 years PantherII EO moderator

    Authority

There are many places to locate loads but unless you have done it, I wouldn't recommend diving head first in. You would be better served to join a carrier that lets you look for your own loads in addition to hauling theirs. You will also find that their fleet insurance will be less expensive...

    Curious on truck purchase

I don't think it will be a speed demon but might be a viable option depending on what the total weight is at the end. Certainly won't qualify as a heavy hauler but the M2's are roughly at that same HP rating with alittle higher torque. 260 and 280. More is available but at additional cost...

    Curious on truck purchase

I knew there was going to be a epa canister but didn't know it would be the size of a fuel tank. I wonder how much extra weight that will add? Davekc owner 21 years PantherII EO moderator

    Criteria For Turning Down Loads

Could be several. Most common is unprofitable run, too much deadhead, low surcharge, severe weather, too many trucks in the destination area, or delivery is in a slow freight area. Davekc owner 21 years PantherII EO moderator

    HELP... Business Plan?

Based on your information I would say you are putting the cart before the horse. I would think a market analysis would be required prior to a search for investors. How would the investors know what they are investing in? Without knowing these numbers, it would be more to your advantage to lease...

    Hello

But it is not common to see W/G equipment for sale. This could be that the vast majority of these trucks are driven by owners, and not fleet owners. Not sure, pure speculation. But I am certain that on good months, everybody running, most on pre dispatch of climate control loads, that I am doing...

    LTL vs. D unit update

Your subragation attorney from your insurance carrier should already be handling this. This person will likely be different than the claims adjuster on truck damage. If not, I would be demanding from your insurance company that they do. Be careful of a quick settlement if any medical issues...

    expedite companys

Your best bet would be to talk to their recruiters, and then talk to as many drivers as you can from the selected company. Good luck in your search Davekc owner 21 years PantherII EO moderator

    Curious on truck purchase

    Kenworth T 300

I seen one last year on a T600. I believe it was a Alumi-Bunk. They share the same cab. Not sure how that modification would effect the cab with regards to durability and structural integrity. A T2000 might be a option. Davekc owner 21 years PantherII EO moderator

    Hello

RE: Smoking Nazi The last smokers I had in the truck said they"cleaned"the truck when they were done. That meant they poured Amoral all over the cig butts(did'nt even pick them up off the floor)so instead of having a dirty mess,I had a dirty sticky mess...

    Finding loads

I would say between 5 and 10 percent. You are correct, in that their are numerous things to consider before we do it. Location and the amount of other trucks. Sometimes the day of the week is considered. I use a variety of sources. Some are LTL and some are not. The rate depends on the distance...
