A bulkhead doesn't matter. The box must be seperate from the cab.

I am surprised that they would even let you load that on your truck?
We have had several recovery loads through the year when a van would show up and a straight truck had to be dispatched in order to move it. As mentioned, the van folks would get a dry run and a first out from of it.
Davekc...
I have never heard of a "new driver fee"?
Some do an escrow account but that is returned with interest. Escrow accounts are designed for an owner to cover a loss associated with damage to the truck or abandoment.

With being a single driver, I would be inclined to think the HOS 14 hour rule is having more of an effect than some of the carriers activity. When comparing this year to last, you have less available time to be available to run.
This has been a issue with all carriers when looking at solo...
A 110" double bunk sounds like a century cabover. The 110 represents the whole cab. It would seem harder to recruit a team with most of the others having above a 72 inch sleeper.
They probably thought you meant a 110 sleeper which would likely have a sink. In otherwords, a 110 cab and sleeper...
Good post. Although I will admit, a new truck for $80,000 is becoming a rarity. One can go used but that brings another shift in numbers and reserves. Some would depend if it has a warranty and all that. Can one run at $1.50? Maybe. I would think it depends on how many unpaid miles you are...
I answered your PM. Without knowing who makes it, my first quess is at the shock tower, broken air line or bag, or broken sway bar. If it is a condo, then the secondary sleeper frame would be worth looking at.

what do you mean 1-4 ratio give an example----thank you

I believe he is saying not to let your unpaid miles exceed 25 percent. Personally, I think 25 percent is too high.
I am assuming the colonels 75 percent is based on the gross run. It wouldn't be...
You are right. I was thinking too prematurely. I was putting previous info with the proposed new, and that would be unfair since it hasn't happened at this point.
It is only speculation.

I quess when they said they were taking on the cheaper LTL freight, I quess they were serious. This may be the reason the need 400 extra CC trucks. Who is going to take the unprofitable runs that aren't feasible with company drivers?
I think they are thinking of the "little people"
Drivers will...
Dave,
You are correct on the storytellers. Myself and others think it is a real diservice to the new members seeking accurate and reliable information prior to entering the industry. Many times these people are taking on extensive debt, leveraging homes, and quiting jobs to do this.
What they...
You folks and many others. There were many other descrepancies in other posts as well.
That is what got it questioned originally.

Most of the time it will say right on the tire. There will be some variance between tire makers depending on what size you are running. We usually run Bridgestones and use 105psi in the steers, and 100psi on the drives.
To be exact, your tire maufacturer should have a weight guide that will tell...
The members trips were reviewed by an EO moderator and a Fedex management official and it was determined that they were a hoax.

Yes, any autobody supply place will have the materials. Cut your mesh, mix the two part resin together, and your in business.
Repair on the underside, and it should come out pretty decent.

Mine is showing damaged as well, and my Norton came on with a virus detection warning. I would avoid any Ateam links for the time being until the problem is corrected.

I forgot the obvious.
Is your engine under warranty? Many have a warranty to 400,000. We have a M2 that has a warranty of that length.
As for dealers, well....I think there are some that are excellent to some that aren't worth mentioning.

We have always recieved great service from them. We sold one that had 900,000 and our oldest truck in service has 610,000 on it and no real problems short of a radiator replacement. We sold another reefer unit a couple of months ago, and it had 590,000 on it. It did have to have injector sleeves...
