My Promaster's door tag says it can carry up to 4,407 lbs. and I don't carry as much personal stuff as many drivers. I am VERY conscious of the weight of each item... generator is 52 lbs. and the 5,000 BTU air conditioner is MAYBE 30 lbs. I drive more easily than probably every other owner here...

My 3500 159" extended has done 21.16 mpg the last 16,000 miles, some of which was carrying 3,600 to 4,100 lb. loads, figuring all miles divided by actual gallons... no computer.
