That is right but wouldn't 2,000 miles a week @ $1.00 a mile be more easy on the body and soul?

Which company owns the trucks? It was one of the two... whichever owns the trucks and the driver was working for the company, not an owner.

An ABlair driver told me that he was getting 58 cents a mile AND HE PAID THE FUEL OUT OF THAT!!! He said it was ok so long as he drove 3,000 to 4,000 MILES A WEEK! :eek::eek: He did ask me to tell him how to get on with my most excellent carrier... :confused:

NO driver OR owner should ever contract without a written agreement. Unfortunately, such agreements are formed from hard lessons, so they are difficult to obtain for nothing. The agreement I use has EVERYTHING spelled out so we avoid these problems but I wouldn't give it away... it cost me...

It will easily do better than that... unless you drive like a crazy man!!!

32 MPG average would be a miracle I think.

I think 26 MPG is achievable overall for a careful 3500 driver... a little better if you are SUPER smooth and slow. I'm going to put an all aluminum 15' box on my cutaway. It should be lighter than the 13+' steel box.

WRONG! Printed literature is far less than the legal door sticker... probably the printed specs take into account every option, full of liquids, etc. AND every Promaster I own has a different capacity on the door jam. The first one I bought was 4,317, the second was 4,407, the third was 4,388...

Ah... everyone knows my trucks... everyone I care to anyway. If you have a Promaster, you SHOULD know it's 9,350 GVW. Like I've said many times, why don't you just worry about your own truck and I'll worry about mine. You don't get a vote in my corporation! :p

I usa a 3,500 watt "suitcase" generator that weigh 69 lbs. and one AGM battery... which works fine in all situations... in our Promasters, which leaves more than 4,000 lbs. load capacity.

Would not that be more than just drivers???

If you can't afford both a generator and battery/inverter but who wants to run a generator just to charge a phone, or watch TV, or keep your food refrigerated, or run your computer, or... Who wants to tend to a generator every so often every single time they stop? A battery/inverter allows you...
