    truck repair and maint costs

Leo, I don't want to sound naive but I thought that was the way most ran their truck in this business? I would think that it would be rather..well I can't find a word for it, not to do this if at all possible. I can't go through and replace any major parts (injectors, water pump) at this...

Two helicopters crash watching a car chase

And now there is talk of charging the guy driving the car they were chasing with murder of the four that died in the crash. Sorry even though I feel they should be able to shoot the driver for running, the press does not have to be reporting every chase and this is something of occupational...

    Congress and the war.

OVM, What a bunch of stuff there. I am trying to figure out where this came from, William Hughes or another anti-bush person. Well it don’t matter because here is how it really works, the president in every real war, from Spanish American war to World War 1 to World War 2 to the mess in...

    question

Bambam, Just because it is new does not mean that it is any good. Find a good CB shop who can make sure that the radio is installed and the coax and antenna are good. The most important thing is having the antenna tuned properly and having the right coax for the radio.

    Where is everyone at?

Ah.... Glad everyone is having a great time there (typing this in an envious way), but I can make it if you keep it going until Tuesday, is that ok? Well another year being somewhere else that is not there, maybe next year.

What's the Largest Expediting Company? If we are talking about the largest exclusive expediting company, well Panther may be the one but if we are talking about the largest company that has a presents in the expediting market (with real market share that is), it is by far FedEx.

    Where is everyone at?

Well I'm here, in California. Some people didn't take my advice and still came here. Tomorrow I am going back up to Napa to visit some people I met in Hollywood and than back to sitting it out in Oakland waiting for a load.

    jb hunt expedite

I've seen a couple too, same with a few swift soft side and box straight trucks. Didn't think much of it since I seen the UPS delivery trucks with trailers behind them.

    Anonymity on the Internet...

This specific story, which happened a while back and the idiot got sentence this past week, has a lot more back story to it with these two people than what was reported in the press anywhere.

    Fedex loads to Express1

Hanceh As much as I stayed out of this, I am compelled to say something and p*ss more people off. I am not in any way trying to pick a ‘virtual’ word show down with you or take the position that others have taken with your posts, instead I am just trying to address the right to privacy...

I stepped off the cliff today......

FREE TO FAIL That's good but I am puzzled by the 4 on the dyno, what is that? Blowby? What did it do with % of HP and torque? I recommend the dyno as a first step and the need for a ECM dump and a Vischeck is also needed. I know that this is a good deal and wish you a profitable road ahead.

C/P from another site and it ain't good news

Ok, someone correct the two people who work for Utah and Michigan. I can drive up to 11 hours I can split this time with on duty time to extend it to 14 hours combined driving and on duty time - but never go over 11 hours driving I can also take a 2 hour break during that time as sleeper...

    Mexico-domiciled trucking companies Pilot Program

RE: Mexico-domiciled trucking companies Pilot Prog Turtle, You reminded me about the Canadians who have work permits and also do this, I don't know how many there are but where I worked at - the big pharma company - used people who lived in Canada but worked in the US. Fedex loads to Express1

Markafd, First thing is if your driver is in the Dearborn or Detroit express center, there always have been a problem with the CLink and that area – I have complained about it, one time it showed me 125 miles from my house when I just moved my van from the street to the driveway after...

    Nitrogen inflation improves tread life

TeamCaffee I thought many t/a's and other truck dealers have the unit - I had my Wife's van and my Dodge all done for under $20 - but it makes me want to buy one to charge tires while on the road to make extra money. Well the process is straight forward - they just hook the hose from the...

Big Macs to fuel big trucks

OVM, there is more to the story that what is being told. Even though they have the Ministry of whatever's support, the Ministry of Finance is upset and trying to figure out how they can tax the oil again (after taxing the original processing and purchase) in order to capture more revenue for...

FedEx LTL Units Cut Fuel Surcharges

I am sort of worried... But.... I may be wrong about this, the LTL and National don't have contractor, aren't they all employees like Freight? Someone correct me if I am wrong. Express and CC are also contractors. Maybe they are absorbing the cost to help keep the customers happy?
