    Panther Pals

Dave, For what it's worth, the idea of agreeing on a rate when dispatched and then having the rate changed after the fact or during when services are rendered is my point. Whether it is FedEx or Panther or what ever company, it is a very bad business practice to do and should not happen for what...

Hey, your back door is open...

Also, when backing up to a dock, indoor or outdoor, swing doors reduce your visibility. Roll-up doors do not. Ain't that the truth, and don't forget those tight... really tight docks. A truck with barn doors barely fits into the dock. Cabinet doors, do you mean Tambour Doors? they actually...

    Reefer Choice & Why

Phil, Thank you for the explanation, I would too select a roll up door for a lot of reasons.

    Jr. can't take the 8

No Highway, I am commenting on the need to even worry about it, no disrespect intended. As you say, it is all about the mighty buck, not the sport, not the fan. If it was about the sport or the fan, we would not have the widow trying to trademark a number. NASCAR ranks up there with Formula 1...

Mercedes is a good engine, if you drive it sanely and do the proper PM on time. thats all I can add unless you have a 240D/300D.

    Panther Pals

I don’t want to sound like I am bashing panther but I may be just doing that, so don’t get all defensive and complain about it. The meaning of the words independent and contractor seem to be missed in this entire thread, I see a great defense for Panther but not for the contractor. Maybe...

FG, The hesitation is not because I fear reaction, I don't care about that for my posts (obviously) but the reaction to your first post. If I have to further explain, then ... never mind

    Reefer Choice & Why

Phil, I don't know what you mean by over-spec'ing the box, the problem is that the insulation degrades over time, as does the seals on the doors and walls. You can't over spec anything when the materials are only good for so long. All of this factor into the overall life time cycle of the box...

    Stop that!

Maybe I am getting old or something but I thought there was a post about a million mile van? Well I went to all the trouble of locking up MB's 2.6 million mile car and posted it to find the thread gone! Was there a thread? Am I losing my mind? or should I just be very happy I am on vacation...

    Michael Vick pled GUILTY!!!

    >http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/nfl/falcons/2007-08-22-vick-wednesday_N.htm > >The NAACP feel that he deserves a second chance. Knew that >would be coming. Yea this is sad. I have no reason to see him return to football at all - regardless who he is or what his race is.

Oh God, what a mess this turned out to be. I am hesitating posting anything on this thread not because of the subject but the reaction. YO, Terry it is at the top of the Google and Yahoo search results http://www.interpride.org/12/2007_Events.htm

Do you think expediting for cargo vans is slowing

RE: Do you think expediting for cargo vans is slow Leo, Don't mean to sound stupid but how long has this been the talk in the transportation industry? I think that there will be backlash politically from companies who for the most part depend on smaller vehicles to deliver, including the...

    Rigmaster owners...

Now I am going to throw this into the mix. Sometime in 2008, California will start requiring Diesel Particle Filters on APUs (generators) but not reefer units - the point is that I read that other states will follow. The need for the filters by the way is not needed to reduce particles when a...

    ED

oh yes Viagra, what can I say. I am speaking of the little blue pill. For those who don’t know that ED is a marketing thing, it is - second greatest marking idea to ever come about in the 20th century that is. The company makes a lot of money on those little blue diamond shaped pills...

    Beef vs the Chinese

yaaintdeadyet I don’t mean to be disrespectful but my post was a sarcastic comment about the American public and their ignorance about food and the food supply chain in general and the facts about purchasing quality food. It is they, the masses who want cheap food, cheap everything for that...

    Trust Rudy Guiliani..??!!!!

Not to sound like a republican, there is a big difference between Giuliani and other candidates on both sides of the fence. I won’t go into my thoughts of the candidate; he has proven beyond a doubt his ability to lead in hard times. With that said, I am inclined not to really take the site...
