where do you people get your thinking from was it something you learned from a bathroom stall at a truck stop somewhere . Well I got that idea from several classes in psychology and training and that is backed up by years of research some have done in the field of psychology. Kinda’ akin to...

arkjarhead I think having pride in their ride is different from in your face "I am a macho trucker". Chrome is one thing, but a lot of annoying things is another. Like the train horns on trucks that are used not to be a safety issue but to make a statement. I understand the need for them on a...

OVM, You’re right. When there is a complaint about off topic issues, it must have some special dispensation with some people and not with others. Where’s the fairness? Where is the on topic response? Where are the financial data to back up this deer thing? So what does websites, weird...

RE Landstar and Thinking Way, Way Ahead

Moot, that was too good - thanks for it. Phil, 15 years from now we are going to be lucky to have wheels to push around - you may have missed the thread about the dark matter that OVM started and my post about the educated scientist who say we are shorting the life of the universe by looking at...

    What I want

but nyc rent is higher than the fuel costs lol There is plenty of free housing in the area. There are the tunnels, where you can put up a designer box or even a condo box. There is under the bridges on the FDR or better yet just set up housekeeping in the many truck trailers that are in the...

Drain plug ruined threads in oil pan, need new oil

RE: Drain plug ruined threads in oil pan, need new If the head is stripped off, this is an easy fix, no need to replace the pan. If it is one with a square hole in it or octagon hole, the same thing - a good shop can remove it without damaging the pan at all.

    Hit The Deer

"In Feburary, 2008, I opened a newly-purchased box of software and sat down in front of my computer to do my first-ever web page. In November, 2008, I was a world-renowned expert on using the internet for political gain. For the next year, I was the man of the hour at speaking events and in news...

Now, say your in a different freight lane now and your carrier can get lets just say 1.95 per mile - yet, you are still getting 1.35 - and that is not right, but a good honest freight broker will pay you for the freight lane you are in and going to NOT some typical flat rate no manner where you...

Well I think that you can't upload an avatar like a picture. The instructions are as follows; You may use image files on a remote server. To do so, enter the image URL. For best result, it should be 48x48 in size. In my case, I just can put an avatar on my server (actual one) and use it to...

Drain plug ruined threads in oil pan, need new oil

RE: Drain plug ruined threads in oil pan, need new pellgrn Didn't you catch this by seeing oil seepage before the team took off? (note to future fleet owners) How do you know it is stripped out? Can there be a larger plug put in, tapping the hole and using that? Chance's are this is a...

    2007 Sprinter van

"whats the average weight for a B and C unit?" Sorry comet I should have answered this. I had a GMC diesel, with all of the stuff in it and my fat butt, I would tip the scales right at 7000 lbs. My fl-70 weighs in at 22,000 lbs with all my stuff (must be all those books I have) and has a...

How many skids for a van ?

David, You know many people don't understand the theory that if you overload something that was not intended to be overloaded, you shorten the life of the vehicle. In another post, someone was asking about a leaking roof on their sprinter, well this is one thing that is caused by torsional...

    Gifts for Expeditors

OK here is one for you readers, a Sony PRS-505 ebook reader. Now for those who read a lot, like me, this is a great thing because I can free up around 15 cubic feet of space by eliminating the 100 or so books I always carry with me. In addition to this, I can now take the 1000 or so books off...
