Fuel prices and the writers strike

Yes, you all go on strike for say a week or even two and stay home. Don't even check the company's web site or talk to anyone, just go on strike. You actually noticed a difference? The shows seem all the same to me, and with the way the networks are going, they should just chuck all the...

    Tolls

Kat, I would not use separate fields for the database, but rather use the aggregate of all the tolls and put that into the database as 'Tolls'. If you need to tie tolls to a specific number, don't use a specific field called tolls but rather use general expense column and use a name field to...

    The Wishy Washy Candidates

Ark, The states actually gave us term limits through the constitutional amendment process. You know that term limits are a states only issue, not a federal issue. In some states (21 to be exact) had term limits voted by the people and promoted by the republicans but some elected idiots and...

    McCain's new bill

I am trying to figure this one out, McCain has come up with the worst damaging legislation of any senator and people think that he would make a great president. What gives? Well I said last year that if McCain is the candidate for the republicans, I will not vote in any way for him. He has...

    tips on pumping fuel

Normally the filters should catch a lot of the crud but it also depends on the change cycle and the type of filter. I know that there are a few filters that have built in bypass valves to prevent them from bursting if they get plugged, like the AC filters on Chevrolets, defeating the purpose...

    New Advance Policy at Panther?

Amazing, you actually drove a truck without brakes? If you do not get a 1099 by the end of January, you can call the IRS and they will tell you to estimate the amount of money and write a letter, notarized explaining the reason for the lack of a 1099. I have had to do this a few times and...

    new reefer business

Oh My God, look at this. I apologize to everyone for the following; I feel I have to defend myself. I don’t know maybe it is cynicism? Julie, get real and stop beating up on me. You seem to have some gripe about things I say and don’t know when I am kidding or not so I can...

    Slide out on a Semi

We have a photo section?:p I wonder if this is one of the Warrior sleepers I saw when I delivered in Colorado. They are made somewhere in Texas (I think) and the company I delivered a load of special secret stuff builds fire trucks and mobile emergency command centers. Well they had one of...

    new reefer business

Well Dave, my info comes from a slightly different source but it is just as good Kramer. I think that they will be doing good this year, even though Norvasc is gone, they will be losing Camptosar and Zyrtec, and they took their insulin inhaler off the market and so on. They are shoring up...

    new reefer business

Well I won't bore the audience but arrbsthw something like that. The contractors cost them 20%, believe it or not. They just want to realign their offerings to the customer for the changes in the markets they are in and with that they will try to capture what they feel is lost. I know many...

    The Wishy Washy Candidates

You know that we don’t let ourselves have a voice, but we have one. The proof … A long long time ago there was a bill presented to the public as the solution to a big problem, the invasion of our country. We the people spoke up and threatened the status quo by sending mail, faxes...

grt lakes water diver. part 2

OVM, I thought you left. Well glad you came back. The problem with the great lakes goes way beyond what we have done or could do. The levels have fluctuated so much in the last 150 years. In the 20's, I think it was '22 we have lower levels than we have today. Shipping was restricted to...

OH boy... research? OK - here goes.... 1- FedEx is too big to figure out what they will do or planning on doing. The shift in marketing as mentioned by TC (thanks), the move to reducing rates and other things all indicate that neither Virginia or CC people really know what is coming or they...
