pelosis and barrys "Worse Bill Ever"....

Leo, we all know that but the problem is and always has been with both parties allowing things to unravel. Today I read a pretty interesting email that the RNC sent out, which pretty much said "we are democrats". See they are now trying to pull together their own health care package to prove...

    Workmans Comp

Any payments for any time lost (compensation recovery) depends on if you are an employee, not a contractor. In the case of being a contractor, it won't cover any loses because you are a contractor and in this case you are in control of what the company can tell you what to do.

    YRCW: No Sustained Recovery

After listening to the cry babies at Ford today "no we won't give up any more" and thought they don't deserve my money for any of their cars. I point to this comment in the article "Although the company is having cost difficulties (primarily labor related)..." And wonder when is are these...

    Workmans Comp

It is a requirement by most of the states that has nothing to do with your health care. Think of it as a liability limiting insurance to protect the company and the customers.

Obama administration to revise trucker rule

Where? The last time I looked we are on a tightrope in a high wind. The debt load from the spending hasn't hit us yet, and from all indication when banks and large institutions who hold a lot of commercial notes go under after the massive bailouts, it looks like there is going to be more...

Yea but having a mechanic takes the fun away from learning.

    air compressor

The governor is either on the compressor or near it because what a governor does to unload the compressor is to shut cut off the intake or open it wide (depending on the compressor, some stationary ones open the intake). The dryer doesn't show up on my build sheet for my truck, the build sheet...

    more info on bolt

Well here's the thing, in the short time I have been doing this, I have only seen four times that a company/agent/broker has said "stay there we have a customer who will be shipping something tomorrow" and it come true. This of course is outside the realm of near or strict dedicated work. I...

    Truck Not Used

It depends, what is the relationship with the shipper? If it one of them internet loads, I would charge them more than fuel and time, maybe even the entire agreed price of the truck because they didn't communicate to you that they no longer needed the truck.

Can you convert 10 speed auto-shift to a manual

I depends on who does the work but it is a doable thing.

    New 1-ton super b/9600lbs

The older 5 cylinder engine gets about 19, the newer v6 it is about 16, from everyone I talked to. The 3500 chassis I had here to play with was a 2006 and that got something in the range of 28 without anything on it. I measured a few of the boxes and they are about 72 high inside (not including...

From the St. Petersburg Times - Politifact

As of this morning, the repubs and demon'crats have indicated that there is a movement away from the two parties and a third party may emerge from "the hatred of congress because the people's wishes are ignored". No matter what happens within the republican party, they are still lost and...

    New 1-ton super b/9600lbs

Well the other thing that pops up is how much can you really carry on a regular basis. How much bulky light stuff does one get now that can't fit into a cv or even a sprinter? So let's play a little comparison that I just got done playing with: I have worked the operating cost with a sprinter...

    New 1-ton super b/9600lbs

I am thinking that if you are on a fix rate contract, then any cutaway may not be worth the trouble. At 80 cents a mile and with the added cost of fuel needed to go the same distance, the limited weight you can carry and a little higher maintenance cost, it may cost just enough that you will...

    Dismantling America: Part II

Ummmm ok, I guess but so did these people who ended up having a lot of twisted and misplaced followers, most of them sounded intellegent and articulate enough to have the same effect as the messiah has had; Robespierre Mirabeau Engles Lenin Stalin Trotsky Bukharin Luxemburg Liebknecht Tito...

    E150 upgrade to E350

No harm in asking, some think of ideas and those ideas are sometimes great other times not so great. Today I looked at three 2005 Ford one ton vans that were sold down the street from my truck, they were ok, could have used some work here and there but not one of them was over $3500. Jack...

Where have we heard it before???

I think the October 14, '29 state may be the wrong date. And I think Ford shut down production for the change over to the V8/Model B cars at that time. He did the same thing in 1927 when he stopped most of the production of the Model T for the change over to the Model A.
