Nope..what puts fat on people is eating too much..pure and simple..and not enuff exercise. Now quit nagging me cuz it won't do any good..had to give up sugar and carbs and I've been crabby for the last ten years...:p
Now the garden is paying off..making some homemade ham and bean soup with onions, red onions, shallots, garlic and parsley from the garden..
simmer, simmer, simmer!:)
Yes...in the tea aisle..it's not overly sweet though. I hoard mine cuz I'm 150 miles away from Wally's and I keep forgetting to have Ken pick it up for me.:)
As soon as the garden dries out enough I have to dig the leeks and gather any remaining tomatoes...I don't trust Jack Frost! I should pick the acorn squash that's dark green, but I think they'll survive the colder temps.
I use it in cereal when I have to have it..I drink my tea unsweetened though...can't stand sweet tea. It's like drinking a syrupy pepsi. But I do drink sugar free cream in my coffee. No accounting for taste buds...
Have you ever tried chai tea? It's a black tea with spices..I think maybe...
Stevia is another option and it's natural. Stevia is a plant and the leaves are like 4 times sweeter than sugar. I do believe Truvia is made from stevia.
and I'll probably be hearing sleet on the roof tonight...it's been snowing in Dickinson, ND all day. Rita girl..if you're ever close by stop in and I'd be happy to share!:)
Well as long as John is keeping the hubby busy, I've got more time to can. Just putting up 6 quarts of tomatoes and am gonna go pull my peppers to process too!:)
