That was a huge mistake, the owner basically owes you nothing because you have no way to prove your agreement. Never ever drive someones vehicle without everything spelled out in a contract.

You did have a contract with the owner right? What did it spell out for pay? There are bad owners and bad drivers and almost two sides to every story.

When a certain part keeps going bad many times what is causing that part to go bad is being missed. Fixing the symptom not the problem type of thing.

I often wonder that myself, some of those guys can't even stand at the fuel desk long enough to pay. They have to lean on the counter huffing and puffing waiting for their ticket.

I would never wish stricter rules for anyone else just like I would never wish higher taxes on someone else. I would rather see things lessened on one group rather than increased on another.

Baby steps. First you really want to get one truck and drive for an expedite company yourself or even better yet drive for an owner for at least six months. Without knowing what it is like out here or how the business really works your chance of being a successful fleet owner is very small. This...
