Stuck in Staunton, Va, for 24 hrs now. Plows have cleared a narrow lane in each direction of the street, but have left so much snow at the edges that trucks can't get around. They're parked 2 deep on each side of the road, and nobody's moving. Can't even get into the Pilot truck entrance, it's...

I'd like that - got fuel b4 the blizzard, but not groceries:( but 81 SB is still closed, and the buzz is that it probly won't open till tomorrow morning. [Better than a rockslide, I guess.] And if it does reopen, I can't stop - have a load on board, and have lost nearly 24 hrs already, sigh...

The Flying J in Olive Branch, Ms is a good spot. I always found it amusing that almost none of the trucks laying over 'in Memphis' were in Tn: most stay in Ms, the rest in Ar [West Memphis]. Best to avoid staying in Memphis if possible, it's not a good area.

Hands down: the rice cooker. [With appreciation for Linder & India's posts convincing me to get one, bc I wouldn't have considered it myself.] I can make pasta & sauce, soup, steam veggies, and brown meat in it. The teflon liner and the heavy plastic steam basket are removeable, making cleanup...

Re: 1st post: any companies give you complete choice over when, where, if you take a Lowrange: if you're ok with getting that 5 hrs sleep early in the day, then you'll be fine. Sometimes, you have a choice, like the load I'm getting ready to pick up: NJ to Cal, and I can drive days or nights...
