    Pig Roast on Sept 11

Would it be considered politically incorrect to bring hummus?

    Pig Roast on Sept 11

Perhaps if Mr Snappy gave the stuff to those who can use it, he'd be toasted rather than roasted. Dave: If I'm home, I'll let you know - but am planning to be home for the Labor Day weekend, so it's not very likely. I've made it home 2 wks in a row before, just never on purpose, lol. :)

Fair Warning to White Glove Dog Owners

Phil: I'm not sure what post 911 security has to do with it, as others have mentioned, the Fed has always been more vigilant than most in protecting it's image [which is such a huge part of it's marketing, and a reason for many of it's contractors to be perceived as snobs], and 911 has nothing...

my game plan.what do you vanners think?

Aaaaah, the delightful 'paid tourist' perspective: how else could I hope to visit such places as Mahoopany, Pa? No one can tell me this 'job' doesn't rock!:D

    WIFI on the truck

It's what I'm considering, consolidating the cell [AT&T] with the aircard [Verizon]. But I wonder whether the coverage is as good, with AT&T? It used to be very much less - has it improved that much?

Fair Warning to White Glove Dog Owners

Rumors, hearsay, gossip: ok, when the subject is other than a person [celebrities & politicians excepted], or a person who can set the record straight. Not ok when the person is unable to refute the allegations, as Terry is, due to the restrictions imposed on his posts here.

Fair Warning to White Glove Dog Owners

Greg: I think you misunderstood what I called hearsay: the statement that Terry has been known to poke around in personal places inside sleepers. That's a far cry from the job he is doing, as I understand it, and it's an invasion of privacy, IMO. I know of former EO members who have stopped...

Fair Warning to White Glove Dog Owners

Because it isn't you who's being discussed - but would you care if 'they' said you'd been doing something you shouldn't have? I would, if it were me.

Fair Warning to White Glove Dog Owners

I don't need to hide my dog from my carrier. If I had to choose, I'd stay where the dog is not a problem, [as TeamCaffee has]. My point is that White Glove forbids dogs, and folks who cheat the rules assume the risks thereof.

    Calling all pet owners!

To add my penny in the pond, I see no reason for exclusivity, either. The carrier forums were set up that way [and I don't like it, personally] because of the tendency of many to bash & trash carriers for less than legitimate reasons. Can't see that as being an issue here, really.

That still constitutes hearsay, and I'm not convinced. :(

Fair Warning to White Glove Dog Owners

Anyone else find it ironic that Phil chose FedEx for their reputation & image, and yet he finds it 'disheartening' that they are willing to go further to protect the image than most? I don't see any difference between the Fed's efforts to discover 'illicit' dogs, and the government's efforts to...

Fair Warning to White Glove Dog Owners

Um - why would that matter, to you? The reason I never 'shared' the knowledge is because folks who cheat are taking a risk, and if they get caught, it's their lookout - I won't help them get away with it.

Fair Warning to White Glove Dog Owners

I ran into Terry more than a year ago, and after he offered Kenzy a treat, I laughingly asked why he even has them, and he explained how part of his job is to 'catch' noncompliant WG folks with dogs. Personally, I have no problem with it - just like corporations who employ 'mystery shoppers'...

    Calling all pet owners!

I thought it was hilarious when Kenzy was scared of a patch of wicked looking mushrooms [they did look kind of scary, lol], but maybe that was a good thing....:D

    Calling all pet owners!

I like it! Of particular interest to me would be reviews of dog parks, because I can find them online, but would like to hear from someone who has been there. That Boston Terrier is a cutie pie!

    Pretty much know the answer

Or a delivery like mine last night: 450 miles of backroads, arrive at WalMart just before 11pm, ring the bell, am told to back into dock 2. Once the truck is situated, I ring the bell again, and although I can see 5 teenage guys in the dock area, [which is why I want inside, before they go on...

    Pretty much know the answer

Sorry, didn't mean to rag on you, was just looking at it from the [potential] owner's perspective, ok? I drive a truck like you want [but no shower:(], only I didn't start in it - I worked my way up. I proved that I would earn it, [running hard], and take very good care of it, first. If I were...
