    Where did it go?

Suds... I agree with all your points, save putting it back on. If EO made an exception here, they'd have to in other cases. Then the poster would disappear after having disrupted the forum with what could be false accusations. Think of it this way... banks usually don't offer loans to new...

    any roomy truck cabs?

Because the truck is junk. It's not made for long runs and heavy loads. It's made for local work, where you might put 30,000 miles a year on it. The engines tend to go around 200-300k, which is WAY too early for a class 7.

    Hazmat ?

That's why I put USUALLY in caps, Phil. FXCC would end up being the exception to USUALLY.

    The Wishy Washy Candidates

Forgot to mention... the last four candidates come complete with government cheese. Hillary promises Roquefort.

    The Wishy Washy Candidates

Well... I like to say "With Bush, we were expecting steak and eggs. Instead, we got fajitas and egg fu yung. Needless to say, there is no caviar on this year's menu. With Mit Romney, we're likely to get humble pie and chowda. With Rudy, we're likely to get a big plate of spaghetti with LOTS...

    any roomy truck cabs?

The International 7500s have alot of room, but I wouldn't recommend them. The Century has the same layout as the Columbia. I agree... newer seats make a world of difference! I'm 6'4" and drove 11 hours straight once. Not even cramped when I got out... just exhausted. Love it! Love it! Love it!

    Hazmat ?

I'll desent (seems to be a habit lately). If you're going to be with a company that hauls it, you might as well get it. If not, then don't worry yourself. You can always go back and get it if you change companies. But keep this in mind... it USUALLY pays no more than a regular load. For the...

    New Advance Policy at Panther?

Bernie... I understand things can happen, and usually do. I'm not unsympathetic here. Please notice I didn't use your name anywhere in my posts. What I was saying was general in nature. A simple underlying fact remains. Advances on loads are a contributing factor for owners to put their trucks...

Panther rolls out new Board position and em program

Most of the time for certain companies, and sometimes for the rest of em. Linda Blair ain't got nuthin on expediters. :D

    35th Anniversary

However, that doesn't mean we should revert back to the stone age. Tho there are those environmentalists who would want that. I believe they don't give a damm about the Earth... they just don't like mankind. Those who preach cleaner fuel ignore nuclear energy. They would ignore the good of the...

    New Advance Policy at Panther?

The high price of fuel demands one thing... that you need to pay for it. It doesn't say you have to get that money on pu or delivery or 3 weeks from now. What it suggests, tho, is that you should be smarter with your money. To me, the "pay 1/2 on pu or delivery" encourages one thing... drivers...

    straight trucks & truck stops

Why don't you consider us real truckers? We straights have real trucker rules, real trucker speeds, real trucker issues. So we don't have fifth wheels. The DOT still thinks we're real truckers... and I'd rather go by their standards.

    deer in the headlights

I can see it now... a truck totals three cars to get over two lanes to exit. "Sorry officer. My gps screen was blank, and came on just before the exit. I didn't know it was going to tell me to get off there."

Panther rolls out new Board position and em program

"you ***cannot*** make a better decision based on your years of experience" My response to that would be... "If you were a dispatcher for as long as I've been a driver, you'd know how stupid you sound." "We have deemed that you do not need to know that information." That reminds me of a...

    New Advance Policy at Panther?

I would argue that construction contractors use their advance to buy thousands, if not tens of thousands in building materials. I'd venture to say no one puts $1000 in their tanks at a time. I have to agree with Leo about those needing pay after pickup probably are living run-to-run, and will...

    35th Anniversary

Man has a highly advanced brain. Therefore, he can manipulate his surroundings to suit his needs. To make it so man doesn't do that, you need to take away his brain. Then man dies. Then no one is left to pat the environmentalists on the back for saving the Earth... including the environmentalists.

    new reefer business

I look at it this way. On refrigerated loads, where care is needed, but time is not necessarily an issue, the containers make Express a viable solution. Paint is a perfect example... as are drugs, as Greg pointed out. And with Californication cracking down on ppl making a living, FX would just...

    New Advance Policy at Panther?

My thought too. So what about patches? Usually a patch means a problem was fixed, although the repair might not be pretty. Are we talking about safety or image here? I shudder at the thought of snobs being at Panther, of all places. White Glove, I'd expect them... not Panther. However, a...

    new reefer business

Exactly what I meant, Dave. Schmoe = Express driver (ie, employee). Contractors? They don't need no stinkin contractors.
