    Catch 22

Aristotle... I may have a answer for you. Independence. You have not only all of the responsibilities, but you have top earning potential by naming your rate. Talk about a thrill ride! Instead of answering the phone with, "Whatcha got?" You can answer it with, "Billy Joe Jim Bob's Expediting...

    Catch 22

Greg... I agree to a point. A person makes him/herself unless they allow the company to dictate what he/she becomes. Then, they no longer are their own person. It's up to the person to make what they want of themselves. When something goes sour with a company, they have to step up to the plate...

    Obama Fan Club

Beemer, you may be right. But not as ugly as if Obama gets in. The effect just won't be so immediate. Batten down the hatches! The political winds ara blowin!!!

anyone know of orare with a company that will allow a 28,32 or 40ft unit.

Definitely agree with the Col! More work involved, but the rewards are larger, IF you're ready to take on the burden. Your 28, 32, or 40' trailer would get used quite often, front to back. Not everything is 22'D or 53'E... you have 31 feet in between to play with. Just be prepared to spend a lot...

semi with 28ft trailer new expediting thing?

Col and Jeff are right. Standard = cookie cutter/ minimal effort to most companies. Dispatching at those companies is like putting a square peg in a square hole. If you think outside the box, you're bringing a round peg into their mix. Check with some of the smaller companies. They welcome round...

    Football!!

Just thought of the perfect example. Emmit Smith was nothing more than a good RB. He got his records behind a great OL. In fact, he usually had 5 yds before he was even touched!

    Missing.......

Slow a few weeks ago, but picking up. Thanx for askin'. Belize? Are you kidding? I can't afford that! I'm factoring! :D How's the retirement going? Missing the biz yet?

    Missing.......

Wouldn't that be funny if you were talking about ppl with no business sense, and you have none yourself? How do you know if you have any? Is there a t-shirt that says "I have business sense. Trump told me so!"? Greg... think I have the answer to your last question...

    Football!!

Another Hawks fan?!?! Cool! :) Jim Zorn is my all-time fav sports star. I was glad for him to get the position with the Skins, but pizzed the Hawks didn't make him offensive coordinator. To me, Gil Haskell is not the architect of our offense, and won't be a good one when the Walrus leaves...

    Football!!

Being from the Detroit area, I have a soft spot for the Lions. I really think Manelli is the right guy to whip these guys into shape. If they get some protection for Kitna, and a running game, they'll have a serious shot at the division. But I agree about Millen. He has no idea of how to run a...

ok whats in Council Bluffs Ia anyways??

Where in E. TN? I'm wanting to find some mountain land in the Tri-cities area. Tho I'd consider Bean Station area if I get rich; as I doubt my wife could find a medical research job there.

    Football!!

I know watcha mean!!! If you follow the league deeply in the offseason, it's kinda like a boring mini-series, with a few chuckles along the way. What comes to mind is the Cardinals are supposed to be contending every year, according to the pundits. But internally, they are a wreck. Looks like...

ok whats in Council Bluffs Ia anyways??

Nothing wrong with Council Bluffs. Omaha and Lincoln to the west; Souix Falls, SD to the north; KC to the south; and Des Moines to the east. When one of those places doesn't have the trucks, I'll bet you get the call. My guess... Vermillion, SD.

    Panther is not Military friendly

As was said in another post, Panther has a 30 day cycle on their in-service. Just do the time, and get higher. Don't sweat the small stuff. Being in the Army, you should know the politics involved with a higher entity being on a power trip. Being just another number should be nothing new to you...

Need an Opinion on a CB

I also have the nightwatch. The bulb for the night light burned out, as did the meter bulb (same bulb?) When I bought it less than a year ago, I was told I didn't need it tweaked. Now, it's all scratchy, and I can hardly understand anyone. Might be my speaker, but I'm going to get it all fixed...

    Confounded by Big Cat Giveaways

I've heard of that happening too... maybe once in a blue moon. Most of the time, however, the steak you're claiming they serve ends up being a White Castles, because of ppl bidding low, as if they're on an LTL board. Remember, Panther is competing with companies like Stew and RJR on NLM loads...
