    Business, as usual

No matter what the union does, it's the management that has the final say, period. The union can strike, but as weapons go, it's as effective as a cheap Saturday night special: more likely to backfire than not. Workers, [believe it or not], don't want to be out of work, and they know that the...

New York Times - Trucking Solutions Group

Buzzkill! OK, I won't frost the muffins, but I'm not compromising on the cupcakes, no way, Jose. :D And I will bring it to MATS [if I get there] and find some healthy/nutritious recipes for muffins in the meantime - surely there are some somewhere.....

    Reform, indeed

Silly me - I forgot [just for a minute] how all-knowing you guys are, when it comes to other peoples' thoughts and motives. See, I thought she might have been a proud person, who didn't find it easy to admit she needed help feeding her kids [cause that's how I'd feel], and she'd been working 2...

    Business, as usual

I agree with Tbubster on one thing: we can get used to dam near anything, if it happens often enough. The verdict of the investigation is that Mr Blankenship's policy of putting profit ahead of safety makes him guilty of the deaths of 29 men, but is this mass murderer in prison? Nope, he's free...
