Sorry to hear of your loss Roadtime...never easy and never expected.

The garden is completely planted and watered now..gosh am I tuckered out! And I put away the greenhouse for another year.

You can tell it's really spring when the first yellow finch arrives..got out their feeders and filled them with thistle and now I've got a bunch more..love their pretty color!:)

The extra calcium helps prevent that end rot..just save your shells and grind them up and work them into the top of the soil around the plants.

Just like any other plant, it needs to be talked to with the right amount of BS...:)

And the tomatoes are in the ground and it didn't freeze last night and it will rain on them today...life is good!

Oh man.. Hope I don't get a frost here... Just put my tomatoes in the garden today. Did you know they need calcium? I toss some egg shells in the hole prior to planting.

I thought their holiday was the same weekend as Memorial Day weekend.

The Master Gardeners are a little skeptical of the weather forecast..Mary says I should be ready to cover them...hmmmmmmmmmmm But this will be the lastest I've put them out and to date I haven't been wrong...guess I'll have to trust my own judgement!

well that sealed the deal...the looks of those beautiful tomatoes made my mouth water!

Just looked at the weather forecast for the rest of the month and I do believe it's safe finally to put my tomatoes out...wish me luck!
