    Need help! Thanks in advance

Runrunner: what was the best way to learn when you began ["just get in the truck & go"] was also the only way to learn an entirely new way of business then, but much has changed in the years since. Technology, brokers, 3pls, CSA - there's a lot more ways to go broke these days, I believe. Much...

    A brilliant plan.

Question: in the two generations that have elapsed since abortion was legalized, has the percentage of Democrats declined at all?

Was that you? Load-1 cargomax in Toledo

Sorry for the delay, I took some time off from having fun to do some work. [And I worked, too: almost 2000 miles last week. Which is more than I usually do, with the whole 'drive less, make more' thing, you know]. ;)

    Trucks Not Moving From Pumps

Not that simple, DS, because they can pull forward & sit there for 30 minutes too. When they do, I can usually maneuver my S/T around them, but the T/Ts can't.

    Beat them to death

Because life is sacred, except when it isn't.

Common Core Education... there is no wrong answer!

We've been there for awhile now: where 'low information' [gotta love the euphemisms, lol] citizens prefer the bread & circuses of low comedy to any hint of intelligent conversation. Because being entertained is just so much more comfortable than being engaged in an activity that requires the...

    Trucks Not Moving From Pumps

I prefer running legal, for the same reason that I prefer telling the truth and being neat & organized: it's easier. When I started driving [t/t], the split sleeper made it easier to stay legal, but the Agency changed that and it got harder. Now they've made it harder still, by adding a 30...

    August locations & Alien invasions

It's been a bit longer now [not complaining!]. Cripes, I really thought it would be a snap to get out of DFW, with everyone going to the truck show, but not even a peep today. So: Houston or San Antonio? I'd personally prefer SA, but will defer to those in the know, as this is the first time...

Was that you? Load-1 cargomax in Toledo

I've never known a guy who couldn't. It's only the ones who handle it onstage that bother me, though. ;)

The way I do things when I really don't know what I'm doing: half fast.

    Need help! Thanks in advance

Of course not. But it's where the disreputable carriers tend to be, snagging warm bodies who don't yet know what to watch out for.. I sure didn't, when I started. It's pure luck that I started with ConWay Now, because I didn't even know about EO then, either.

    Music

You don't listen to the lyrics? You miss some goooood stuff, like; I gave her a Ford - she wanted a Cadillac. I let her live in my penthouse - she said it was just a shack. I gave her seven children - now she wants to give them back! Can't remember the name of the song, but I heard BB King...

    Teams for Sprinters Needed

By not promising they'll be loaded miles, or what the percentage that isn't will pay. ;)

    Need help! Thanks in advance

I stand corrected: many carriers do not require a CDL to drive a cargo van. However, I'd be willing to bet that the list of carriers who don't require a CDL and the list of disreputable [untrustworthy] carriers would have a great deal of overlap, and inexperienced people are their primary...

    Asylum for gays, muslims

SOME Christians are as bad as those who cry 'Racism!" every time a black person encounters trouble, even when it's self inflicted. The law against home schooling is not directed against Christians, nor does it prevent parents from providing a 'Christian education' to their children, at home, if...

Common Core Education... there is no wrong answer!

No one is soliciting their input on teaching - they are being asked to provide examples of the skills they look for [and often don't find] in potential employees. If the goal of education is to prepare people for a productive life, I think that's important. Even if they support Obama.

Common Core Education... there is no wrong answer!

That last sentence is wrong: businesspeople [and parents, who also contribute input] are not attempting to tell teachers how to teach, they are offering feedback on where they believe the past standards have been inadequate. The are also wrong about it being a federal government takeover...

    The Clown in Chief

If she said anything advocating or approving of the injury of another person, [I don't pay much attention to 'celebrity' quotes], absolutely. It's funny when the bull chases the clown, but not if the clown gets trampled. That fact shouldn't change because the clown is wearing the 'face' of an...

    The Clown in Chief

You mean the double standard where it's fine to cheer for the possible injury of a political opponent, but if he does anything praiseworthy, you find fault with it? What I read [including the reader comments following the articles] is that many who objected didn't have a problem with the Obama...

Common Core Education... there is no wrong answer!

Your emphasis on the 'I' implies that someone else did - so please elaborate. And while you're at it, you might answer the question I asked, which was not rhetorical: do you think the business leaders helping to craft the acceptable standards are okay with students who get the wrong answer? And...
