    Indiana cuts DOT inspectors

Well sorry about him losing his job but he can apply in Michigan, our great state of denial got some sort of FMCSA grant and will be stepping up enforcement and inspections on all commercial vehicles as fast as possible to collect fines. Vans are on the list of inspections from what I read (over...

The Sinking Of The Titantic - FDCC

As an outsider to all of this mess with FedEx many don't seem to get what's going on here, this is not a case where a common peeon surface truck is not getting the work but rather an elite team who has gotten to the point they expect the money to always be there and doesn't like that they are...

John McCain blames Arizona fires on illegal migrants

Well I would think so but look we have a VP who is just like him. T-Hawk, he offered to pay anyone who is willing to pick lettuce $50 a hour but when it came to actually come through, he made every excuse to avoid it altogether.

    $1.40 per mile?

Hoffa? You serious? I think if that was the case, we would all be working somewhere else. It all depends on your cost per mile, not how much you want to make. If your cost is over a buck a mile with the FSC adjustment, then you have a problem.

John McCain blames Arizona fires on illegal migrants

Well he won't be running for president any more and may not be a senator long if Arizona gets smart so what does he care what he says at this point.

    C.R Robinson

Thanks for both answers. The reason I ask is a few LS owners use them to book loads through one agent and LS has some sort of contract with them to cover loads like FedEx does.

The Sinking Of The Titantic - FDCC

But Brisco, the one thing I have to point out as a fellow member of the club is that some don't want to take a chance to learn. Being in their comfort zone, especially for so long, they tend to resist change and the positives of that change. Not saying Layout but others yes. They don't see the...

The Sinking Of The Titantic - FDCC

Really? I would think that anything you would wish the best for the company you are still leased to, or is that too much of an assumption like the one that makes people believe that there will be the entire fleet made up of rejects and poor quality contractors because of rate that is comparable...

    $1.40 per mile?

I would assume they are over 350 - I think he's in a box van ... opps he posted just as I was working on this post. Anywho I've had them where they are a 1000 miles but with multiple drops with days to complete at those top rates. The rates are there if the company wants to get them.

The Sinking Of The Titantic - FDCC

I got to tell all of you, this is too funny to read all of it. Another one for the archives. Yes Layout it is a panic thing, just read Phil's posts for the last two months - he is panicking and stirring up others as if this was some sort of new revelation about what's going on - just the title...

The Sinking Of The Titantic - FDCC

Moot, this isn't a new thing, just a panic discovery for some who haven't heard about supply chain and how they operate which is tval trailers hauled by contractors and have been for a while. About the management thing, this is internal to the company, the expectations are not the same as the...

The Sinking Of The Titantic - FDCC

"Bean counters are short term people. They cannot see more than a few months to a few years down the road. They are normally gone by the time the effects of their "beans" starts to smell the place up." Actually the opposite is true, they are looking at long term in growth and more. They can...
