Nearly 35,000 Ford workers sign grievance over pay

You all can argue among yourselves with an intellectual definition of what is slavery and what isn't but ... We have slaves today among us, they are bonded slaves by their inability to think beyond what they feel they can do. This is a mentality borne out of two things, one is the need to...

Green Bus Co. screws barry & Flint Mich

Poorboy, this would have happened regardless who the president is. Bush handed out millions through the DHS to shore up police and fire departments and Detroit spent it on new cars for the city council, trips to Africa with the governor and a bunch more with no accountability to where the money...

    About Leaving FedEx Custom Critical

You know it strikes me as odd that everyone would fawn all over Phil and this momentous decision. I can't help but laugh at this; Well hate to break the news to you Phil, who ever told you that they don't play favorites got it all wrong or you are just a number, I think was yanking your...

    Phil made the jump

I have a strong feeling why is the fact that he came here and complained about the changes allegedly being made. IT actually says a lot that they would make this move with this team at this very time.

Gastric Bypass a possible cure for diabetes?

From a practical standpoint, I have to add a few things. First Terry is right on target - almost everything changes to sugar. The absorption of sugar comes in different forms and for those like me, we have to watch everything we eat - I'm have a fruit and veggie intolerance. My doc is still...

    Phil made the jump

Mark, it would make sense that he would go to a company that would use his truck the way it is equipped but it is Phil.

    Phil made the jump

Yep, I have a really good idea what it takes, and it isn't as easy with a small truck. Everyone told me two things when I looked at LS, one is how much weight I can carry and how much floor space I have all matters a lot more than how much chrome on the truck. I went into this with the problems...

    Phil made the jump

I forgot about A&E but how much of it is allowed on a reefer unit? I was told much of it has to be in a dry box and I have met a couple teams who are only doing this in sprinters/cutaways because they can.

    Phil made the jump

Well I would agree but it can be a case where success may not follow where it is expected to follow. This is a different world and having a small truck with the idea of capturing freight that simply doesn't come about as many think is not a plan for success.

    Phil made the jump

Oh God here we go. Hope it works for him but ... Better fit for who? I think he has 14 feet or 12 feet of floor space, which is too small for the Star which means he will be sitting there while agents will load vans .... and they don't run a lot of reefer stuff, I know that for a solid fact.

The Sinking Of The Titantic - FDCC

Well OVM, FedEx isn't going away and it isn't dying. What is happening is a change. This change isn't being made just for the fun of it but for the company in this environment. They may lose market share but remember that they are larger than many of those companies who are operating at a good...

County lawsuits say Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac dodge taxes

No it actually has little to do with the revenue from the homes they own, this has been a problem for the past 6 years. It has to do with the mismanagement of the county and how their budget is setup. Wayne county is in the same situation, the county has done a lot of 'improvements', refuses to...

    Pretrip?

It doesn't matter who discusses what, until the system is changed to allow a driver a way to fight a warning, both written and unwritten, the system is seriously flawed. Pre-trips and post-trips are part of the CDL test, class c through a by the way.

Do straight trucks have to stop at weigh stations

Chef, The state can decide to have a stricter law or regulation, they are not governed by the DOT regulations but many states adopt it to save time or as a harmonization agreement between neighboring states. The federal government regulates the rules between the states, they do not have...
