I think it is more of a supplier/vendor/rebuilder issue than a store/chain issue. I bought a 100% new alt from Napa for my old van when in Pa, and it quit 10 miles later on a Sunday after the store closed...needless to say, I made it home, and to find out different Napa stores buy from different...

Being less than a year old, the possible parts that are bad, why don't you loosen the belt and find out where the problem is, and remove it and get the new one under warranty and re-install it? Just curious......

Look under handicapped accessories or mobility in the phone book. If you are going that route, make sure you raise the back doors as well, otherwise it is a waste of time and money.
