    Expedite is a non directional form of trucking.We are called upon to pick up and deliver loads that someone else,neglected to pick up on time.if your lucky you will get loaded with in a couple hundred miles of home,or if your not in a hurry to get home,you could eventually get loaded close to home.

    You have to be careful delivering expedited freight early.If in fact you deliver,and the night shift signs for it,the day shift that needs it,might not know it's there,Then it could be considered late.This doesn't happen to often with tractor trailers,or straight trucks,but has happened often...

    there are many differences between an owner opp and a company driver. Most important is pay.Company drivers usually are on forced dispatch.If your contract labor,this gives you choices on loads you take,but as an owner ,you will always make more,there is no split with the owner of the truck

    Moose, you hit the nail right on the head.Ive been an owner opp for almost 30 years,Ive only put a down payment on 1 truck.Sure the payment is higher,but the interest and depreciation will over shadow that expense,and if it doesn't work out,you loose the truck,your not out any out of pocket money.
