How can I tell if my truck may have been hit by lightning

We were driving when we got hit. There was no visible damage but our Eaton shift controler was fried. You might want to have a dealer run an electrical diagnostic on it. Sent from my PG06100 using EO Forums

Whats the strangest thing you have hauled?

Disaster drill training equipment. We had a full load of "dead bodies and body parts". We were hoping some DOT officer would ask us to open up the doors. Sent from my PG06100 using EO Forums

    What Makes a Good Month?

Sounds like a solid month to me. Our June numbers were @ $25000 for 15000 total miles. Only did 6 runs. Took most of July off. Sent from my PG06100 using EO Forums

Steering wheel jumpy from new brakes?

There is no proper application for centramatics for our configuration. We had them installed when we first got the truck but they split open and leaked all the oil out. Not enough room between drum and wheel. The guy at centramatics had Speedco refund our money. The truck did not shake or jump...

Steering wheel jumpy from new brakes?

We do to much work while we are home to call it vacation. Our vacation from work is being on the road. The grass is mowed (twice) and the drywall is hung and the tape is bedded. Also repaired 6 leaks in the roof brought on by 24 inches of rain from tropical storm Deby.

Steering wheel jumpy from new brakes?

I think I am going to delay going back in service tomorrow and take it back to the shop. I don't like driving anything that I know isn't 100% percent right.

How Do You Perceive Your Business Reality?

I find setting goals for each week or month very helpful. We have a goal of how much money we want to earn during a specific time period. (After expenses and fixed costs). Once that goal is reached we can either chose to stay out longer or head home to pursue our other interests. It is also a...

Steering wheel jumpy from new brakes?

We had new brakes put on the steers yesterday and I noticed after we picked up the truck that the steering wheel is quite jumpy during hard braking. Such as coming off the interstate onto the ramp. Is it common for the brakes to need to wear in a little bit? The drums were not resurfaced.

    Living in a truck

We do not enjoy this lifestyle. We would much rather be home and waking up in our own beds everyday. (My wife more so than me). We do it solely to earn money and to be able to take the time off that we require for our other interests. We look forward to the day (about 3.5 years from now) when we...
